Serious question now: I just downloaded all of the demos, and World of Goo is actually pretty fun, but I would prefer it on a portable system. Is there an equivalent game for download on DSi (or even better... a cart game for DS)?

Damn. This is a really nice treat for Thanksgiving week. I'm down for Bit.Trip and Super Mario Kart for sure. My sisters might be interested in Harvest Moon. I'll have to wait on reviews for that.

Well, if you really weren't trolling (or for any lurkers curious)...

There was a big thread on it earlier. Earthbound will not be released for legal reasons.

Those legal reasons being "they used a load of real music".

Interesting article. Explains a lot.

I'm intrigued by the Harvest Moon WiiWare, but it sounds like reviews are definitely needed on that one, especially with the $12 pricetag. It's probably too much to hope it's a full Harvest Moon game with a shop element.

VC looks like a buy for me today. After enjoying the new Blob, I'd like to go back and see the original.

The sadistically hard original?

Part of me wants to try it. The other part of me knows that, if the stories I've heard are true, I'll end up throwing my Wiimote through my TV in frustration.

No. However, Tiki Towers, which is kind of like it (kind of a a rip off of it) though different and also a good game, is available for the iPod Touch/iPhone if you have one of those, and it's good (it's also available on WiiWare). It's got monkeys. +1. I'll be stunned if Tiki Towers isn't ported to DSiWare at some point.

On a different note, I played the Bit.Trip.Beat demo and liked it, but am left unsure. It was hard, for one thing, and seems like it could be a frustrating game. Still, I might give the full version a shot. I definitely liked the tilt-control of the paddle. Why didn't they do that for Arkanoid?

I loved the game as a kid, but I'm not sure why anyone would really want to go back to the original other than nostalgia. The game was hard then, and still hard now. The Wii game generally improves upon the formula of the original.

Oh man... If that comes out here, one of my last reasons for wanting to rebuy an N64 will go out the window. Bring it on.

I remember wanting this back in the day for my N64, but can't really remember much about it. Guess I'll have to go look it up now.

SMK. BOOYAH.

Now if only they gave a damn about emulating that Super FX chip or whatever the hell it is so SWM:YI can get here. Then the VC SNES library would contain my top three 16-bit funtimes (incl. SMW).
