He bought retail copies.

We need to get some regular CAG steam events going especially with the recent deals on L4D and L4D2.

Me too!! I'm honestly really disappointed! Literally no one cares except us. Frankly, it seems like it's pretty amazing that you even got me to care from the lack of interest everyone else is showing. Maybe we need to check out a Civ IV thread. Maybe there's a Civ IV thread on CAG here?

I still haven't even gone through the tutorial, but I totally want in on PitBoss.

Wizardry Series
Actually, Disciples II is on here. Did you already know? I bought it and also the GoG version cause the freaking Steam version is flaky with Windows 7. Boo.

Should we put a link to the holiday thread in the top post? I don't know if it's necessary or useful really but sometimes it's done.

I was totally eager for more deals when I woke up this morning. Then I remembered it was over. I've spent a truly frightful amount of money, however, so I'm content to wait for weekend/mid-week deals (that I will probably not be interested in). I wanna be thrifty for a while now.

Unfortunately, this also means I'll have to get a new computer because I'm fairly certain L4D2 wont run on an my MBAs Intel GMA intergrated GPU. Not to mention the size constraints.

You can install his game on your PC, yes. But only if you use his account on your PC. Just remember to log off his account on your PC when he is ready to install Torchlight under his account on his PC (I'm assuming you guys are using separate PC's).

I don't think anyone answered your question. Yes, if you get Dawn of War II on Steam, it integrates with Games for Windows Live and the achievements, etc. are tied your Live ID/Gamertag.

I just did it myself.

1) What one Steam purchase you made during this sale are you the most pleased with? Why?
Won't know until I play them, but happy that the Lucasarts Adventure Pack & Eidos Pack got great prices.

2) What one Steam purchase from this sale are you least pleased with? Why?

Shattered Horizon - Though I'm pleased with the purchase, I wish they would release a single-player update instead of using it in 'future titles'.

3) Are there any daily deals you regret not purchasing?

Armored Princess (didn't know there was no domestic retail version), Burnout Paradise (self-control won out)

4) How much did you spend on this sale? (Estimates are fine.)

$133.72

Pre-Holiday Sale:
Osmos
Lucidity
Madballs in... Babo:Invasion
Quantz

Inter-sale:
Zeno Clash

Holiday Sale:
Cogs
Lumines+Advance Pack
Torchlight
Zombie Driver
Killing Floor
Shattered Horizon
Multiwinia
Mass Effect
Trine
Madballs Skins X5
Nation Red
Project Freedom
Harvest: Massive Encounter
Complete Shooter Pack
Zombie Shooter 2
Crash Time II
Outrun 2006: Coast 2 Coast
Foreign Legion: Buckets of Blood
Time Gentlemen, Please!/Ben There, Dan That!
Lucasarts Adventure Bundle
Sniper Elite
Zombie Bowl-O-Rama
Eidos Collector Pack

5) What will you do differently next year?

Don't get so pumped for the final day's deals (if they follow the same format).

6) What game would you most like to see on Steam?
Most of my wishlist consists of classic games better suited for a GOG release with great extras and support...so, I'd like to see more $2 blowouts.

7) What would you pay for it?
N/A, $2

8) Does this guy work for Steam, or what?
No. When you work for someone, theypay you.

9) Where's his hair?

Under the sofa cushions.

RIP, Steam Holiday 2009

Only reason im not up for a a pitboss game is half because im always terrified of playing online with others and being horrible and second because my PC has so little space on the HD at the moment. If I order a new PC in the next week or so ill have a new awesome 1 tb drive though which will give me plenty of space! Ill get past my fears and just play a game with you guys if your still up for it.

I had a similar problem. Tell him to make sure the game is completely uninstalled, then switch the server he has set for his steam downloads and then redownload and reinstall.

It's gonna be awhile till we get a game going, lots of options and stuff that we'd need to figure out and I'd have to get one of my spare clunkers kitbashed back into operation. If we had a ton of interest, it'd probably be about a week before we started.

Awesome!

A small game would be 6-8 players, a midsized game like 9-12 and a large game 13-16. If we could get a full 16 person game going, that would be pretty killer.
