Thanks for the post, the Thrust figure is pretty good. I think I would pick that up if I saw it on the shelf. And while I appreciate the new combiners how is it that the original G1 combiner sets still look so much cooler? I dunno maybe I'm just old.

The Darkmount figure from the link someone posted also looks great. I didn't read the comic books growing up but I don't care I don't know who the character is. The mold from the little picture makes it look like a really nice fig.

thanks! I was under the impression that he was released and I had missed it. If they released the other two then they have to release the 3rd...so that people can have the set. I definitely want to add Thundercracker to my collection.

I dont really see the logic there. Of the 3 original seekers, Hasbro only released Starscream and Skywarp in the Classics line. The only way for you to get Thundercracker would have been to get the Botcon exclusive or the Japanese Gentei exclusive. And considering the fact that MP Skywarp is now being discounted to $15 at a lot of Wal-marts (I found 30+ last night at 3 Wal-marts), coupled with the fact that MP Grimlock will be a TRU exclusive, I doubt Hasbro will be doing any more Masterpiece figures for a while.

Can anyone tell me what is special about the Masterpiece figures especially the skywarp one. I did not pick him up when I saw it, but if it is something special I would buy it for my son.

$30 two days ago for me. Not many stores around have any left from that price drop.

There were quite a few for $15 at Wal Mart near me two days ago. Already got mine for $30 a week or two ago though .

The MP figures are really only special to 2 types of people: Collectors and people who grew up with Transformers in the 80's. All of the MP series figures are older characters who have received a major overhaul to their figure mold to give them a better (in some cases a more cartoon/comic book accurate) look. Skywarp is special because he was one of the 3 Seekers which also included Starscream (released as a Masterpiece figure 3 years ago) and Thundercracker (only released as a Masterpiece figure in Japan). all 3 have the same basic mold with different color schemes.

I don't know how Hasbro does things but as a Thundercracker fan.... you know I'd just like to have an opportunity to purchase his masterpiece figure. I figure if there are three jets that you have, then why not release the third (in retail stores) so that people can have all three of the "seekers"

Because Hasbro isn't interested in collector's getting "all" of anything. If they were then we would have gotten Sunstorm in stead of Acid Storm in the Universe 2.0 line. I mean they released Ramjet in the Classics line and they will be releasing Thrust in the new Generations line, but still no sign of a Dirge. You still have to rely on the Japanese or Botcon exclusives for that one.

See I love that figure up and down and all around. Bot mode and Alt. I even pre-ordered extras to repaint into T-Cracker and Sunstorm.

What the is up with that cheshire cat front? Orochi cars are ugly as hell, but I do agree that the robot modes look sick.
