Yeah, that makes no sense. All this crap started when schools started self esteem classes, now everyone thinks they are entitled to everything and if they don't get it, do anything possible to cry like a baby. That's my summary. Sorry for responding to this thread when it should be primarily trade in values, etc.

Nope, I had a $44 gift card from L4D2 anyways so I just said screw it and bought it with cash. The list online RIGHT NOW says that Rock Band 2 and Oblivion on the list, but bottom it says Clone Wars is out, which is understandable.

Don't worry about it. We all do it at one time or another. Although if you have one of the old 'trade 2' flyers, it still has Clone Wars: Republic Heroes on the list there with no exclusion on the bottom of it and I think the expiration date of the promo is listed on there as 4/4/10. So for those who 'think they're entitled', they could argue their point with that list in hand, even though the online list has finally been updated to show the exclusions.

He did us all a favor with a substantial contribution to the database. I don't think he needs you to evaluate what those used games were worth to him.

I'll take a clean apartment and some bonus credit than a box of useless stuff that I'm not playing.
Old 03-14-2010, 06:43 PM   #50
Just traded in these two:

Wii: Mario Strikers Charged - 9.00 / 14.40 with promo/edge
Wii: Godfather Blackhand Edition - 4.75 / 7.61 with promo/edge

22.01 total.

That's how I am anymore. If I'm not playing it, then it needs to go away before it has ZERO value left anywhere. I was like many on here for a while, trying to make a 'collection' and if you don't have the systems anymore to enjoy and play the collection, what's the point really?

Agreed, its not like he was trading games that fetch $40 on ebay for only $1 at GS. He got rid of stuff he didn't want, for a lot less inconvience. Thats his buisness.

Yeap, same boat I'm in. I'd love to have a big collection with a group of retro consoles, but it's just not realistic given the way my place is.

And my fiance would kill me if I had a bunch of old games everywhere

I really loved this promo. Helped me get Heavy Rain and MAG for free and I still have a $60 gift card on reserve for an upcoming game.

Ah, love that new thread smell...

Base values as of today, 3/14/10

NBA Live 2007 -- $0.85
COD Modern Warefare 2 -- $26.75

I'm happy now knowing that all three $55 games I bought back during the Thanksgiving-time B2G1F, I've traded back for more than the ~$35 average price I paid for them. That's the REAL "gamestop glitch!"

Thanks JP!

Hmm, this is kind of off-topic but I'll ask it anyways. What does "Tag" mean and what happens when you do it/how do you do it? I always see people come in and saying they tagged it but never knew what it meant. Haha sorry for the idiotic question.

Pretty much when you respond to a thread it will put it in your subscriptions. It's actually not necessary to post in a thread to do that, you can just use the thread tools option at the top of a thread to subscribe to it.
