$40 for Mass Effect 2 isn't bad for those who missed out on Amazon's Deal of the Day.

Also, I noticed:

-1600 Call of Duty branded Microsoft Points for $17.99 (instead of $19.99).
-Modern Warfare 2 (360 only) $49.99.
-Buy DJ Hero for $99.99 and get a second turntable $29.99 (instead of $59.99).

I'd do the 360 deal probably if it weren't for the recent talk of a 360 Slim.

Whoa... that 360 deal is really good. I have a feeling Microsoft is trying to get rid of inventory for the "Slim" since most stores are selling the 360 with gift cards now. Just my guess.

Damn, ME2 is a no-brainer at $40.

Gotta give Worst Buy props...that's a pretty awesome ad for a random, non-holiday week. You could get an Xbox 360 Elite with Halo, Forza 3, and Mass Effect 2 and around $9-10 left on a giftcard for $300 + tax...that is a straight up sick deal if you are in the market for a console.

I doubt there will ever be a 360 Slim, it's just not a wise product for Microsoft. But that 1600 points card is tempting me since my local Kmart does not carry them.

They cant get a 360 that is 'fat' that doesnt have heat issues and your telling me they are going to come out with a 'slim' model that will run hotter being that the plastic casing will now be 'squeezing' the motherboard even more?

(granted the Jasper model is better but still not immune to the heat issues...I definitely would see the duo Valhalla chip being the one they would use in a 'slim' offering)

'cause that's how they make slim models, by taking the old motherboards and insides, but just cramming them between smaller pieces of plastic, right?

(also, pst, the reason why it came is because pics of the slim motherboard, which is smaller and obviously redesigned, leaked out recently.)

unless the 360 slim is super quite dont care im sure it will still have a power brick thats noisy as crap

$17.99 for 1600 points. Not the kind of deal I expect from points but I'm in for a card or two. It'll come in handy when grabbing those Rock Band tracks and Game Room games.

Your power brick makes noise? Really? My 360 is quiet when it's idle.. similar to the PS3.. so I install most of my games so I can keep it that quiet. My power brick's never made a noise.
