This search bar is a powerful tool for navigating CAG. You can use it to find the lowest prices on games, trade-in values, search members, forum and blog topics, and much more.
After searching for a game title, click the
icon to pop-up a window with pricing information.
After typing in what you are looking for, you can filter your results by clicking on one of the tabs that pops up from the top of the search bar.
Looking for a game on a specific platform? Type in the platform name with the title!
Example: guitar hero 360
You don't need to click a pop-up tab to filter results. Just type what you are looking for right into the search bar.
Example: gears of war prices
Example: ninjatown review

Creepy's got great taste in music
It's so refreshing to hear a movement of Holst's Planets Suite other than Mars and Jupiter. I love those two, but no seems to acknowledge any of the others. I gotta say, I never expected to hear Uranus associated with any media, especially a video game podcast. My hat is off to you Cheapy.

Glory hole was great and that room that shipwreck described at the studio, with pretty much every game ever created, sounded like a cream dream! |

Regarding the Activision/Bungie partnership, I am not as worried about Bungie staying independent as I am about the way Activision treats their customers. Are we going to have to pay $15 for future map packs by Bungie? That may be the case for all map packs given the success of the MW2 maps, but Activision is the company that set that trend. Bungie has said in the past that they wanted to give Halo maps away for free, but Microsoft didn't let them. Imagine what Activision will do with the pricing.
Also, look at what is happening with Starcraft 2. There are going to be three separate retail releases spread out over the next few years, with only ONE playable race in the campaign. The previous Starcraft releases (original, Brood War) both had separate, lengthy campaigns with all three races playable. Plus they are killing LAN support, and I also heard rumors that Battle.net, their currently free online play service, will have some sort of pay to play structure in the future. And they recently charged $25 for a mount in World of Warcraft, which apparently previous mounts were free. I don't play WoW, so someone correct me if I'm wrong. My point is, the partnership may be good for both Bungie and Activision, but I don't see how this is good for our wallets. Last edited by Moozh; 05-07-2010 at 06:10 PM.. |

Good show guys! I completely agree with Wombat and Ship about the Wolverine and the X-Men sucking. It was a really crappy show. Spectacular Spidey wasn't as bad, but it still was far from perfect.

Hey guys. Good show.
I'd just like to throw in my two cents on the conversation about beta key giveaways and the influence it has on the reviewers. Wombat said that it doesn't make a difference if its genuinely a good game - and it only has some influence if its for a bad game...which means it does have an influence on the reviewer. I don't get the distinction. So if you're paid to lie to your readers, but you ended up not having to lie, its okay? It only matters if you were paid to lie, and ended up having to follow through? Now, I know I'm taking this to the extreme here, no one was paid to lie obviously, but I think you get the point. Maybe the actual influence that beta keys allow is showing the reviewer how much fan hype there is for a game. And you guys yourself said that reviewers' twitter followers take a jump almost 6 fold with these kinds of things. I think the influence the author was referring to is the fear of the backlash if the reviewer points out what they didn't like about a game from their readers, who, through this beta giveaway, have shown the review how rabidly in love with the franchise they are. I don't think I have to remind you guys of poor Rusty's comments section for Kill Zone 2, which also had a beta... |

It was pretty surprising seeing Wombat going off on long tangents when he has called out CheapyD for it in the past (his CAG iPhone app concerns, for example). How come Shipwreck doesn't get his own monologues? That guy needs more lines!

good show (I think, I listened to this when it came out).
I don't really care bout the Amazon issue for the CAG app, but I can't wait until the price tracker and/or trade in value tracker for the website becomes more streamlined. the overview prices aren't the most recent since the prices are different when you click a different tab. |

I'm glad Wombat and Shippy W were able to tak your mind off of your iPhone app/Amazon woes. Yay for POO!

I love how Cheapy says something in a forum and it ends up on every major outlet and he's amazed how people pick up on it, then in the very next segment they talk about that Activision guy saying something casually and it being everywhere and Cheapy jumps all over him for it.
Also: every analogy that Wombat makes has something do with food. And everything he thinks is boring I find interesting, then he goes off on some tangent about comic books or something. You still give me an occasional laugh though <3. Last edited by x caponed x; 05-09-2010 at 10:35 PM.. |

Great episode. I was dying laughing at the glory hole conversation.
As for the Beta code giveaway stuff, I didn't know people were making a big deal out of it. Who gives a ? Video Games are a business. A lot of these media outlets are too. These big giveaways are good for hyping the respective game and for drawing attention to the site/media outlet/whatever. Get the over it.Sorry. Again, fantastic episode. I'm envious of Wombat's knowledge about comics. It reminds me of how much catching up I have to do. |

Hey Wombat, I also like unlocking people in fighters. I don't really care for the new trend of having everything unlocked from the start. Maybe they could have two systems of unlock. A time released for the poor players and regular unlock for the people can beat the game.
On a different note Spectacular Spiderman was a great cartoon. The second season was better than the first but I don't think it was played in the US. |

Hey guys- I love the show, and have been listening for a long time. I wanted to address your positions on DLC. I think that you've really got it wrong. This is the way the world works financially. When I order an ice cream at Baskin Robbins, I get my choice of flavors. Then, for additional charge, I can get toppings of all varieties. I am not entitled to every topping they have available just because I ordered an ice cream.
Similarly, there are assets that developers don't put in the retail copy of the game. Just because it exists doesn't mean you get to have it for one cost. Cheapy, you 've pretty much said that none of this DLC coming out is worth the money. So, what are you really missing? We consume games so quickly these days and move on to the next big thing. The developers need something to keep their game relevant. Whether this is missions, maps, or costumes, there's gotta be something to keep interest up in the game. If people want to buy extra costumes for Street Fighter characters, let 'em. Does it take away your enjoyment that you can't see Ken in a different color outfit? On an unrelated note, I met Wombat at PAX East, he was a super nice guy. I hope all 3 of you can make it next year. |

Hey Wombat, do you know what your voice reminds me of? A summer night.
Why you ask? Because sometimes it's can be soothing like a gentle breeze and sometimes it can make me feel hot and bothered. Keep up the good work stud. |
