can I use the $25 coupon that i would get for buying Singularity on that purchase for a total of $35? Or do i have to use the coupon on a different purchase?

Haha - hey don't knock it entirely. It's a shameless Bioshock clone - complete with the looks of the Unreal 3 engine - but my favorite game just happens to be Bioshock. So I'm enjoying it.

Exit the store with Singularity & coupon. Re-enter store. Return Singularity. Keep coupon. Re-purchase Singularity with coupon - you'll get another coupon. Use coupon however you like (until 7/24 when it expires).

Sounds like a good idea... except for the fact that a K-Mart rep/employee regularly reads these threads and will probably fix the error as soon as he reads these threads.

How? They can't account for idiot employees or the fact that a little print out coupon is not required for a full refund. They could impose stricter policies, but it's far from fool proof.

I beat Singularity an hour or so ago - I enjoyed it. If you want to play Bioshock but want it completely absent of Randian objectivism - you've found your game. The play mechanics are nearly identical - very tactical in the use of traps and your TMD acts just like Plasmids did in Bioshock. Also like Bioshock it employs the Unreal Engine (so it has the shimmery aesthetic of Arkham Asylum and Bioshock 1 & 2), prominently features watery levels, weapon / ability upgrades, player character plot twists, and employs audio diaries and charismatic despots. I didn't find the plot compelling but the voice acting's solid enough - every character is either voiced by Stephen Jay Blum or Nolan North. I played on hard and it took about 12 hours.

I really can't harp enough on how much of a Bioshock clone this game is, but like I said in an earlier post, my favorite games are Bioshock 1 & 2. Numerically I'd give Bioshock 1 a 10, Bioshock 2 a 9, and this fellow an 8. Give it a shot if you want to save $25 (or $50) on a game that looks and plays like a familiar friend.
