I got a different Squeeballs Stylus with my game (pictured). I think there are 12 different Squeeballs in the game so I wonder if there are 12 different styli?

haven't seen that one before but I've been seeing the GS "exclusive" being the pack in with the copies at TRU and Wal-Mart

I wasn't sure if TRU or Wal-Mart were selling the game because their websites aren't listing it. (and I haven't been in either store recently) I'll have to keep an eye out for others.

I still haven't seen anything like this for the U.S. but the Japanese version of Spirit Tracks (Zelda no Densetsu Taiyou no Kiteki) gets the clear feather stylus in a green rupee case.

that is pretty cool

I confirmed with PDP that Squeeballs DS only comes with one of two stylus. Either the red or the blue.

In the past, what has been the amount of time before a release that a promo such as this was announced? I'm starting to think that there will be no pre-order bonus for Spirit Tracks in the US, or is it too soon to make that judgement?

We probably won't get one, at least not with the purchase. I think the latest I can remember seeing a bonus revealed was the Lithograph from Fire Emblem. Wasn't that revealed like 3 weeks before the games release?

I'm still holding out hope though that they'll send this out to people who register the game on club nintendo. Sort-of like they did when people registered Spirit Tracks and received the first quill stylus.

Don't you mean Club Penguin stylus (not Club Nintendo)? I've never seen/heard of a Club Nintendo penguin stylus. The only other penguin one is the Prinny one from Disgaea DS.

My girlfriend lent me her DS but she lost her stylus..

edit: I searched that you can get free styli (?) when you register Brain Age 2 and/or Kirby: Canvas Curse.
Does it still apply?

She lent me those games but no pamphlets or anything :(

The free stylus offer for Brain Age 2 and Kirby are over. GameStop doesn't currently have any other pre-order bonus offers either.

PDP makes some decent ones though. You can find them on Amazon, GameStop, or the PDP websites.
