Hey guys, not to be OT, but I gotta buy a new notebook for my boss. Saw that in the Best Buy ad you can get Office 2010 for $99 w/ the purchase of a 'PC'..does anyone think they will give me any guff b/c I'm purchasing a notebook? can an argument be made that a notebook is still inherently a PC? Or I wonder if it will simply work with no hassle..(oh and I know that paying $100 for Office might not be the CAG way, but it's not my money )

Said copy of Office will likely Office 2010 Home and Student, which would be $30 or $40 off from its normal MSRP.

Home & Student gives you Word, Excel, Powerpoint and OneNote, so if you need Outlook, you'd need to upgrade to Home and Business, which includes Outlook:

Even if it's an Apple laptop, it's still a PC by the correct "general" term, though I'm sure you mean a Windows PC specifically.

Yeah I did mean a Windows PC, but didn't want them to stick me with "that's only good on desktops." but the deal did work. And then they scanned on some Agent Protection and AV Disk, which packaged promo off the price. Hopefully I didn't get 'conned' into anything. I stated I only wanted to walk out with the laptop box, office card and a mouse, but alas, it doesn't always go as planned.

Blur is not worth paying full price even with the gift card. Unless of course, you missed out on the best buy promotion awhile back. I got mine for about $13 and traded it in 2 days later for double. I felt it wasn't worth keeping and it got to be repetitive. What if you get them to price match dj hero (or even Blur) would you still qualify for the gift card(s)?

Since I didn't see a Sunday Video Game Deals thread starting the 15th, let me just remind those who have been on the fence about GTA: Episodes From Liberty City that TODAY is the LAST DAY you can use the $20 off Best Buy Reward Zone Gamer's Club coupon towards the game to get it for $19.99.

That's 50% off MSRP.
