This search bar is a powerful tool for navigating CAG. You can use it to find the lowest prices on games, trade-in values, search members, forum and blog topics, and much more.
After searching for a game title, click the
icon to pop-up a window with pricing information.
After typing in what you are looking for, you can filter your results by clicking on one of the tabs that pops up from the top of the search bar.
Looking for a game on a specific platform? Type in the platform name with the title!
Example: guitar hero 360
You don't need to click a pop-up tab to filter results. Just type what you are looking for right into the search bar.
Example: gears of war prices
Example: ninjatown review

Hi
I totally and 100% agree with all you said in the episode about the whole XBLA glitch, and I really liked your discussion. However, i cant help but to feel a little irritated. You guys regularly talk about how you abuse the 5x download feature on psn, to get extra copies for free. Sure, you dont tell people how to do it, but you talk about it on the show regularly(if not psn sharing, then .torrenting movies), which makes it more 'legit' to do - hey, if cheapyd is doing so, I can do it as well. IMO that is kinda contradictory to the whole "support the gamecompanies" talk you gave us today. And how do you justify dissing these websites talking about the glitch when you do the same on your show? |

^gamesharing isnt a "glitch" and has in the past been endorsed by official sony spokespeople. Totally different.
Although the tide does kind of seems to be turning with developers using workarounds to disable gamesharing. |

In response to the PS3 download issues, I'd just like to mention that every system has issues. When you're 360s were acting up, you were willing to put a towel over it and let it sit for an hour or two; you were willing to go through xbox after failing xbox before you got one that worked. If you were willing to go through all that to enjoy your xbox, then I don't see how its too much to be patient and let the PS3 complete its slow ass downloads of its Firmware. c'mon guys.... No one's complaining about having to pretend that NES carts were harmonicas in order to get them to work. We know its a flaw but we're not going to let those flaws keep us from enjoying the system.

PS3 issue - not a dead horse Don't beat the dead horse. If the PS3 issue had already been beaten to death there would be no need to talk about it. If you're an adult that comes home from a long day of work and has limited time to enjoy a game in the evening the PS3 downloads are a major issue. It becomes especially noticeable if you do the majority of your gaming on the 360. If it makes you feel any better World of Warcraft has the same issue. It's impossible to play that casually because you get prompted for a 1+ GB download every now and then. |

I 100% agree with Shipwrecks reaction toward the XBLA glitch and the blogs posting the information. I mean I guess I knew those type of blogs would post just about anything they get their hands on but that seemed over the line. I expect this from Kotaku because they are slime but I guess I thought Joystiq was better than that.

I too was a bit surprised that Joystiq published the glitch. I'm not going to lie, I am tempted to try this glitch myself, but i like to think most other CAG members here, like myself, are genuine people and wouldn't support a way of "stealing" software.
Oh, and Estaban was a great addition as a supporting character.

Uh huh. I think publishers sending you games non-stop is kinda of messing with your head. Also, I think this is a fair time to criticize the "value rating system" for reviews. How can you honestly rate a game with a cash value if you don't pay for it? You don't feel any of the regret from buying a bad game and wasting the money. If I got something for free and didn't like it, i wouldnt say, i'd pay 5 bucks for it, i'd say "ITS A GOOD THINGS ITS FREE". If a game is bad, it's bad. There should not be a cash value placed on it. You wouldn't buy some shitty food cause it's cheap as hell so what's the difference?

I do agree that actually telling people how to get free SNK games was the really broken part. Although I wonder who SNK can go after in this case, if anyone. |

Thanks for reading my question about the Japanese trains, Cheapy. I don't know what possessed me to write the word "shit" twice in my tweet to you but I guess it did make it sound all "street-like." It was hilarious that you were doing your Saint's Row voice acting right before you read it and it played right in. Made my day. Freaking hilarious! Great show as usual guys and stay gangsta.

People have lower expectations from cheap food. Likewise, if you pay $10 for a game, you might be more likely to be satisfied by your purchase even if the game is mediocre.
"You can send that content to four other friends for that initial investment," said Tretton. "We want to get the game in as many hands as possible." "It's not about generating profits at each and every interaction with the consumer," he said. "I think that really offsets the argument that says, 'Wow, that's a really pricey system.'" http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2007/08/sony-disables-g/ Last edited by CheapyD; 08-14-2010 at 02:09 AM.. |

Great show guys. I noticed that Shipwreck was really on target the whole episode, both in his commentary of the XBLA Glitch coverage and just dispensing snappy and snarky comments throughout the episode. Everyone was great this show, I especially loved the running gag about how "Japanese girls are nicer."
Also, get Esteban back on sometime in the future, he was a great addition to the show. I'm not saying he needs to be a permanent fixture of the show, as it sounds like he is on enough podcasts already. |
