Ship...try and have fun with Dead Rising. Don't let the story control you so much; as soon as you let the story go and tell your daughter to shove the zombrex up her ass you'll start having a way better time. Just go around saving folks, killing psychos, and making new weapons, and leveling up!

My complaint with the game is the lack of good weapons that can just be picked up around Fortune City. Granted those little combination sheds are all over the place, but I don't always want to run over to one to start making stuff. Especially since Chuck moves a taaaad too slow in my opinion.

The multiplayer; Terror is Reality this is pretty fun, but no one seems to be playing it. You can earn some major bank there too and give it right to your main game character. So the 500,000 bucks you need for that minicooper deal in the royal flush plaza doesn't seem so out of reach.

Just started listening and had to weigh in on the "12-year old $300 toy" discussion. As the father of nearly 12-year old twin boys, I can say with absolute certainty that they would prefer the iPod touch over the 3DS. They each own a DS lite and an iPod nano. Based on what they know of the 3DS and their experience playing with an iPod touch, they can't stop talking about apps, free games, tunes, etc. They are even trying to save money to buy their own.

I don't think the 12-year old is a good metric for deciding if $300 is too much for an item they could lose, drop or get stolen. Some kids are responsible enough to handle an item of that value. A better age to consider is the 7 to 8 year old. Would you buy a $300 item for a kid that age? Probably not.
