I'm betting tonight's deal is either Alan Wake, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, or Medal of Honor.

So I went to set up the amazon trade in (which changed from $18 to $17.50 right as I clicked "Trade In" ) and I guess they changed their policy, because now it seems you only have 7 days to ship. Didn't it used to be 30 days?

Any input on this or any thoughts on how long the amazon trade in price will hold would be nice, so I can cancel/modify my order before it goes through.
If Amazon did have a 30 day TIV lock in policy, they probably got completely raped and changed it soon after. Think about it. Nearly everyone on this site would buy a game near release and then lock in the TIV a week after when TIV is normally at its peak on Amazon and then keep it for another 30 days to beat the hell out of it. Can we say free rental service?

Good price on Mafia 2, but I just recently picked it up via the TRU Dragon Age 2 deal. Excited to see what else comes up, I usually have pretty good luck with Gamefly sales

Now that I think about it, I think the deal was you could leave your trade ins in the "cart" for a given time before needing to submit them. But I could be wrong. Regardless, I know in some manner or another there was some period longer than just 7 days.

EDIT: nvm, I read the FAQs on the Amazon Trade-In thread, and locking=submitting, not cart. But this still leaves the question as to where I got the notion of locking values longer than 7 days.

lmao, "free rental service"...that makes absolutely no sense.

First, I havn't followed prices, but I am sure Amazon has never had MSRP = Trade In value.

Second, if you are trying to call me an idiot for thinking this with an argument such as a "rental service-like exploit", I would just cite GameStop's return policy as a similar retailer with a comparative "rental service-like exploit"

Spiderman would be a good one. I've seen the PS3 version go for cheap on Amazon, but not the 360 version. I'd be interested if the price is right (and with GameFly, it usually is).

Bring back the end-of-month sales though!

Yeah, I could go for Spiderman as well. Even MoH (although that would have to be a $9.99 one).

You are right I went too far with the word free. Relax, I was not calling you an idiot. Stop being so uptight about posts on a message board.

I can confirm that the trade in period was 7 days 2-3 years ago. Basically any game that comes with $20 credit is still a free rental (ie Bulletstorm) since it hovers around $40 TIV the first week it's out.

Anyway, so are these deals update like their previous sales, around 8 pm EST?

Edit: I see you Cheapy

I've heard Other M isn't that good, but does the $12 price make it worth a shot?

Will have to pick up Other M for my brother. Can't go wrong with a $13 Metroid game even if it isn't as good as the others.

Hmmm, thinking about Other M, but I don't ever play my Wii. It hasn't been hooked up in over a year and since the last time I played it I have bought NMH2 and Muramasa. So maybe I'll hold off for now.
Great deal on Alan Wake for those who don't have it yet though.

That's a great price! I'm going to lean towards buying used games. I mean $65 for a brand new game is just too much money.
