Where to start... Osada is a psychedelic interactive music video by the developers behind Machinarium and the Samorost series. It's really quite insane, and absolutely brilliant.

Anyone who has played an Amanita game before will know what to expect, although it's a little more simplistic than their usual stuff - well, in terms of interactivity anyway. In each scene, you need to work out where to click to progress the action forward. Along the way, the music plays a huge part, as you build up different instruments and harmonics.

To say anything else would be to spoil the surprise. It take around ten minutes to complete, although you may want to take your time and check out all the gorgeous art on show. - IndieGames.com

Megazell's Comment - Hmm. Sounds like an MMORPG except your interaction with others is based more on what've you done as oppose to any real time interacting. Plays like an adventure game yet has some turn based strategy aspects to it. Rougelike must be the new black.

Blendimals is a DADIU production developed by Exploding Cow. The game creates a new take on an old genre and centers it on the unique game mechanic of combining animal abilities. In Blendimals you have to get through levels filled with obstacles - obstacles that no single animal can overcome. Instead you have to blend different animals in a big blender to make a blendimal. Blendimals is a colorful, cartoony game with iconic elements of classic platform and puzzle games. Its goofy characters and animations and its upbeat music creates a comfortable atmosphere. A reward system gives incentives to the more competitive player to replay levels for maximum bonus, while merely completing the levels will unlock more levels.

Still trying to wrap my head around this one! Jhink-Toy asks you to slide coloured circles up and down on a grid, lining similar colours up for points.

A line will be removed if it only has the same colour balls in it, and the more lines you remove at the same time - plus the more balls there are in each line - the more points you'll receive. I've managed to work out a couple of tactics that seem to work, but some of the later levels are mind-boggling. - IndieGames.com

Maderina + really isn't a new game (it was developed in 2002) but it clearly stands the test of time, supporting even the most recent operating systems.

It’s a frenetic free PC shooter where you control a huge robot, transformers-style, which is accompanied by two drones that will help you in battle. The mech is able to fully rotate, something that is helpful to overcome the huge difficulty that Maderina + offers. When the enemy waves start arriving from different directions you will need to use your reflexes to the maximum capacity. However, infinite continues avoid frustration from setting in.

The graphics are still enjoyable and the scrolling is pretty smooth, and all this mixed with a pleasant variety of enemies and bosses result in a competent shoot’em up.

Megazell's Comment - Been enjoying this game since I heard about it on FreePCGamer.com. It's a fun brawler with lots of attention to details from the arcade version of yesteryear. It has a few bugs though...mostly in the text variety. Some of the writing could have used a spell check here or there. The game also takes quite a bit to load where you have 4 Gb of memory or more. Still it's fun and has a lot of characters to choose from and unlock. Not a hard game though.

Spending too much time on a spaceship can make anybody edgy. Can the crew of the Quasar nevertheless learn to cooperate?

A high-resolution adventure game in six rooms, the main point of the game is to explore the possibilities of having multiple characters. You can switch between four of the crew members that each have their own skill set, and their own reactions to hotspots and to other characters.

Well, you can't switch characters at the beginning, because the characters are angry at one another and you need to figure out how to make them not angry any more. Once you've done that, you can switch. The puzzles in here shouldn't be too hard, it's mostly about exploring the different reactions.
