I got an e-mail. It's to join bing rewards.

I've never done bing rewards, but I'm considering it. 200 points from microsoft+250 point bing signup apparently. I've heard of people always mentioning it, but I've never taken the time to learn about it.

Can someone give me a brief summary of what bing rewards is, how I can earn points, and is it safe/worth it?

At first I was unimpressed by the breadth of the Xbox Live awards program, but then you get your first deposit (renewed XBL, got some points, spent some money in the market place, got some points) and you're 200 points richer and it feels like a mini-miracle. I've already earned 470, which is a whole lot of free content for doing nothing.

I noticed the VIP section on there today as well, and am curious to know whether anyone else has gotten the e-mail yet which contains the code for that page.

Just got the VIP e-mail. Little confused about the whole program though. Currently I have around 700+ points but whenever the 14th rolls around I don't get any deposited like the FAQ's say. Is it because I still have some points under "pending"?

boo - I'm not seeing the promo. I do have a VIP points section that lists what I've gotten so far, but no new email or offer about bing bar and 200 points.

signed up for the 200 point Bing rewards thing, didn't have to install bing bar...

the 250 bonus is in Bing reward points, so I'll have to earn another 250 of those to turn it into 400 ms points.

Also it says look for an email on June 17th for the 200 ms points, you have to stay a bing reward member until then to claim them.

I've already cashed in 1000 bing points for 800 MS points - it's not hard, but it can take a while if you don't do a lot of searching.

Yeah, this kinda sucks for those of us who have been using Bing for a while

I tried using the VIP email but my XBL ID is tied to 1 of the bing accounts I used a while back that they closed.

Pissed I'm out 200 MS points but I tied my XBL ID to another email account and opened another Bing rewards account.

any tips on getting bing points?

Lol back when it first launched last summer it was 100 bing rewards for 125 ms points, back in my day. Now that they upped the amount of searches for me to 6 searches to earn 1 bing point for 16 reward points max daily i stopped using it as much.

Today I got 400 points for buying the Defiant maps put in my pending queue.
