PS3 UFC 2009 League :: CAG Combat Club [Brainstorming]

The game has been out a week, it's time for us to start beating each other up for bragging rights.

The 360 guys already have a league, but I think a PS3 one will need to be a bit different since less people may be playing.

For one, I think people may need to be in multiple weight classes to keep things interesting and active. That being the case, people should have the option of choosing a CAF or drafting a fighter (it's a pain in the ass to build up the stats of a guy in one class as it is). However, to keep things interesting, no one should hold more than two titles at a time.

From there a tournament in each weight class would be held to determine the first champions, like the 360 league.

After that, we would have a game night night once or twice every week in order for people to fight for title shots. The champs would be required to defend their titles at least once a week against an opponent determined fit by the rankings.

If you have any comments/suggestions, please let me know. Most importantly though, if everyone can let me know if they're interested we could probably get an event going by Saturday (draft on Thursday or Friday).

So, if interested, leave a post with:

PSN Name:
Weight Divisions: (Put this in order of most importance, as it will determine which division we draft in first)

Also, start thinking of your draft list. I'm still deciding whether it should be done by each weight class as a separate draft, or it being a free for all i.e. your draft list would have the fighters you want most in any weight division in any order.

Guys who are in two weight classes can only be drafted once and you'll have to pick your main division (but you can change your mind later).

One last thing:

Also, while I'm starting the thread I am not in any way well organized or statistically minded. I can also get very caught up in work. If some others are interested in helping with that aspect and others that would be greatly appreciated.

PSN: B__L
Middle, LH, and Heavy would be the best calls.

CAFs might be a little (LOT) overpowered compared to the default fighters, but since this is a for-fun thing anyways it should be ok.

Yeah, I didn't know about the 105 rated CAFs before this, so it might be best to leave them out, especially if there aren't too many people for everyone to get a top 10 fighter.
