Also couldnt exchange a game even though it's during the B2G1 sale. Way to lose business. Instead I'm considering just returning everything over the $20 I'm getting ripped off.

You can say good for TrU but on a legitimate return/exchange the customer can get screwed. Even though the deal is B2G1 if you exchange something you can no longer get that B2G1 deal even during the B2G1 sale. Instead I had to pay $20 more than what it should have been had I actually gotten the B2G1 deal.

Now since I only went for the B2G1 in the first place and didnt get it, I have no reason to keep any of it as I can get it all for that price elsewhere and I dont like TrU. I'll just hold onto it for a while and if I can sell the crap fine otherwise I'll return it.

Won't be doing their B2G1 at all anymore. It just went from us ripping them off to them ripping us off. Find a damn balance! If it's during the sale exchanges should be allowed for the full value of the item. It shouldnt take a million complaints and 5 years for something like that to be fixed. Just some god damn common sense.

All you have to do is return the 3 and rebuy what you want. I did it this morning, replaced one of my extra copies of batman with forza 4.

Guys I'm confused. Why not just buy the first 2 games again with the new game you want and then immediately return the 2 games you just re-bought with the game from the first group that you wanted to exchange?

If they're going to be idiots, that's fine, but while the sale is still active there are ways to get around their idiocy.

I go buy Skylanders x2 + Batman x1 for the initial deal.

Total = 140 (70 + 70 + 0)

I want to exchange one copy of Skylanders. The receipt shows a return price of $49

Now youre saying buy $70 Skylanders + $70 Headset + Batman =
another $140

Now return Skylanders + Batman...

edit ok I missed a part...hang on..

Return Skylanders x2 + Batman for full refund on initial B2G1 receipt = $140 refund (I'd hope)

Now left with Skylanders x1 + Headset + Batman for $140 so yeah youre right I think that should have worked but too late now I suppose.

Well it was established that after the sale it would work that way but I dont see a reason they couldnt have let me exchange something of the same value during the sale. We can pretend I'm dumb for not thinking of redoing the B2G1 and all that before but I dont think most people would have thought of it. Whatever. It's just poor CS/policies working against them still. At least now (short term) it helps them instead of screwing themselves like in years past but in the long run this will still just bite them in the ass.

I spent about $300 on who knows what and I'll be sure to tell them why everything is going back assuming I return it all.

Edit: To clarify I couldnt return the three things straight up since I'd opened part of it. I was talking about redoing the B2G1 then returning stuff from transaction B on transaction A's receipt. That I didnt think of.

Considering they barely make anything on this sale (their margin is something like 35% on video games), I think they could care less that you're returning your purchases that were made at roughly a 33% discount. They're looking to upsell to soccer moms, not appease CAGs or hardcore gamers.

That's fine too as long as they eventually figure out that their customers dont like part of their policy and it gets fixed. The thing is it will probably take them forever to get it fixed.

Thank for the advice stopped at a TRU on my way back from my hockey tournamet and they had all three games in-stock even though the website the only would have the one.

I picked up Dark Souls, Forza 4 and Arkham City w/batman toy. I also grabbed 2 of the dangerous hunts 2011 + a rapala fishing. Now its just a matter of waiting for BB's b2g1 and getting Skyrim, Uncharted 3 and COD:MF3

Yep. Inside had codes for the 1970's batsuit skin, Play as catwoman DLC and a beta code for Gotham City Impostors.

After ebay fees, taxes and shipping, you are basically at break even. Its not even worth the time.

Managed to get Diddy Kong Racing, Yoshi's Island, and Prof Layton The Last Specter from TRU. Wanted Kirby Mass Attack, but they could only find one copy and it was on hold and I didn't want to drive back later :(
