I don't get the refusal to do the F10 procedure. It clearly says "Suggested Buys" on the screen along with "F10". So it's like saying "I refuse to suggest buys for you to purchase because I am a retard." Anyone can pull up the SPEC ACT DLC. The first thing I did was ask my gaming rep to try it for me and she did it. It worked perfectly. Now you may or may not have to pay the extra $5 for it if you just have a gaming rep do it without getting your preorder. For some people, that may be worth it just to get it and get out at this point.

Slightly off topic from the current discussion, but what is currently the best deal for a digital download of the LE (or PC version with in-store pickup)? I need a copy of the game asap. Amazon at $51 is the lowest I've seen.

I knew I should have checked with CAG before I went to BB this afternoon to pick up my copy of BF3.
The game rep first got me the regular edition out of the cage they kept the BF3 copies in. I asked him why it wasn't the Limited Edition and he said they ran out. Luckily, another game rep came by and said they had more LEs in the stock room. The guy I was talking to then went back into the cage (after he locked it already and gave me the regular edition) and grabbed a LE. Yes, he lied to me straight to my face and had Limited Editions in the cage the whole time, then tried to play it off like nothing happened. Wonder who he was saving those LEs for... Then I asked him where the SPECACT code was. He said he got his at 12:01 AM this morning and acted like he was surprised when I told him I didn't get an e-mail yet. I asked him a few more times if he was sure it would come via e-mail and not get printed on the receipt. He kept saying it's sent via e-mail. So I left. Now I read this thread and I'm super pissed that I gotta eventually make another trip back to BBY and argue with those brain-dead retards some more to get the code. I hate Best Buy. Gamestop preorder?
I placed an order at 12:05 am (11:05 pm Texas time which is their hq). The LE was still listed with the pre-order bonus, but I didn't receive the dlc email from them just the confirm. Also wonder if I will get a LE since it's no longer on the site

i found a way to get you SPECACT Kit DLC from Best Buy, do what i have done Contact EA Support Center at this link tell them you did'nt recieve a code from BB and tell them BB told you to contact them ,they would ask for your online pass on Battlefield 3 and the they would give you the new code thats how i got it.

Alright people rumor control time, here are the facts: 360/PS3 are ringing up with the codes from Best Buy no problem and do need to be packaged with F10. PC, however, is not printing the code on the receipt nor emailing a confirmation email. The email should be instant if you pick up either console version, so that rules out any issue with delays. The codes are also system specific, so there's no point in having BB print out a code for PS3 to use on PC because it won't work.
Turns out BB did package mine correctly this morning, so the fault lies at corporate and it's entirely possible they LIED to PC pre-orders about receiving any DLC. At this point, I can't confirm this but it is my gut feeling. That's all I have at this time. |
