Nice prices on AC 1 and 2! Does anyone know how long this sale lasts? I was hoping to pick up a PS3 copy of AC 1 and possibly 2 during or right after BF if they were on sale. Id rather have a PS3 copy so I can beat the games and then trade them in later :p, plus I don't think my laptop can run them as well as my PS3.

Bought Assassin's Creed 2 and there is good news and bad news.

The good news is that it's actually the Deluxe Edition

The bad news is that you have to download it using Best Buy's own download app. It is horrible. I guess it's the sacrifice you make for being cheap.

Does the service let you keep the installer files?
As long as it does that, you can back them up on HDD, DVD's, BR discs, or whatever.

Damn, I was excited until I saw "Windows." There are way too many company-specific download apps now. =_=

Most of these download apps are for PC games, though.

XBL [for X360] and PSN [for PS3] seem to be the big ones on the consoles for download apps.

I don't know at the moment. I had to use their download app to download the game and right now the game is installing. It seems that the game installs directly to your harddrive rather than having to be played though the Best Buy app though, so that is a bonus. Just dumb that they couldn't hook you up with Steam keys.

I typed In PS3 download because I saw a thread with 360 downloads, the other day. What are your thoughts on BB's PS3 downloads?

I've never used them for PS3 downloads, so I am unable to give an opinion.

how much for trade in?

Why would UbiSoft sell a game that you can register-up on Steam?
They got their own service they want you using - UPlay.

Also, AC2 is not listed on that list of games you can register on Steam.

Keep in mind - you can add any Non-Steam to Steam, for some of Steam's benefits [Steam's friends list features and take screenshots].
You won't get ALL the benefits of Steam, of course...since those are for Steamworks-required games or Steam versions of games bought directly through Steam.
