I'll take the Mako over the paper airplan- er Firewalker any day of the week. I never had a problem with it. Terrible terrain on planets and questionable mission design is another story.

Same, but both kind of sucked and both games would have been better without that junk. Same with the Firewalker. They should just focus on the story and questing like they do in the Dragon Age games, and not add in all that other crap IMO.

I'm pretty stoked for ME3....but not sure if I'll get it at launch. I have a small backlog (including Skyrim) that's built up as my hacked live account has been locked down for investigation since late October. I won't buy any more games until I clear that out first.

I did put an early access token toward ME3 on Goozex and I'm 22 in line there, so maybe I'll end up getting it through there while I'm working on the backlog.

Has anyone found any good ME3 wallpapers for the PC yet? I've done some searching, and the official ChubbyNinja bioware ones are OK, but haven't found anything really cool yet.

I also liked the Mako over the Firewalker...the only downside to the Mako was how most planets had the same terrain making the Mako not much fun to drive.

I imagine the CE will have some cool ones.

Hehe, http://kotaku.com/5872372/mass-effec...idea/gallery/1

I love it but yeah you gotta change the traditional gameplay, tweak it Mass Effect style because it's still Monopoly.

I'd bite on that Monopoly set too if it were sub $20. I love Monopoly too but theres already so many themed versions out...I'd hope Mass Effect would find some way to stand out a little bit more.

PSA for Mass Effect 2 players, the Arrival DLC is currently on sale on XBLM for $3.50. Just don't expect it to be good like Kasumi and Lair of the Shadow Broker. :P

I liked Arrival a lot. Probably my second favorite DLC after Shadow Broker.

I wasn't a big fan of the gameplay in the Kasumi DLC, and I'd already finished my two playthroughs by the time it came out so I never got much chance to use her as a party member.

Not having any squadmates with you was a huge minus for me with Arrival. ME2 has a much better combat experience than ME1 so Arrival wasn't as dire as Pinnacle Station, but Mass Effect is at its best when it's balancing that combat with character interaction. And even as far as the combat went, having Shepard solo for the majority of the DLC just made it seem very one-dimensional.

I dug how Stolen Memory mixed up the gameplay a little (though the "adventure" portion does get old after repeated playthroughs when you already know how to solve the puzzles). Kasumi herself was a great character, and of course the Locust SMG is invaluable throughout the entire game for classes without assault rifle training.

The bonus of the Kasumi DLC is the Locust SMG. You can get that as soon as you're done with the first mission for EM as it is a good gun.

I thought Arrival packed a pretty decent punch, even though it was one of the weaker DLC's. Good setup for ME3, so well worth it at that price.

For me, I'd rank the story DLC as follows:

Shadow Broker, Kasumi (for the SMG and Kasumi is a BAMF character), Overlord, Arrival, Firewalker.

Not counting Zaeed or any of the DLC that came as part of the game's release (ie the Normandy dog tags, which I personally thought were one of the game's most underrated missions)

I never even finished Firewalker on any of my characters...

Hope that doesn't bone my galactic readiness.

I still haven't played Overlord, the CAG in me is still waiting for it to go on sale again since it hasn't since I got ME2. I loved LotSB though, that's probably my favorite DLC of any game ever. And Firewalker just flat out sucked.

Actually, Overlord (along with Kasumi and LOTSB) went on sale last year around Christmas time. I remember being pissed because the week before I bought a points card to get Kasumi and LOTSB and paid full price for those downloads then found out 2 days later they were going on sale. Thankfully, I had enough points leftover to snag Overlord when it went on sale.
