2. The ridiculousness of it all. You don't understand something, therefore god? Seriously? There's so much that we don't understand that is real. God is probably not one of those things. I hate that progress is held back because of religion. What this is basically like to me: Santa Clause. Except Santa Clause isn't the cause of wars and repression so far as I know.

3. The John 3:16 commercial example. Ok fine, so again...what about atheists/agnostics/jews/muslims/devil/laundry soap worshippers? Where are their commercials? What this is like to me: We can have BET, where is WET? Can we ever stop the double standard bullshit? It's everyone, or no one.

1. my Answer: Christians believe sodomy is unclean, whether it be with a man or a woman. I'm not saying gay people are unclean, but the act of sodomy is. Other than that I don't have a problemo with the person unless they're jerks. We also can't eat bottom feeding type fish and swine since they're unclean as well but most Christians don't know that...BUT HEY EVERYABODIES DOING IT! Discrimination/racism/intolerance is in all forms of animals in nature. It all around nature....except plants...but I could be wrong. I don't like the way that tree is swaying at me. (the happening)

2. my Answer: Not knowing something and knowing something that you don't fully understand is mind bending isn't it? It's like the big bang theory. We don't know what kind of immense force caused it, but we can except that it happened. It's just something we don't fully understand but we can piece together with probable cause. Which why we need a flux capacitor to make time travel possible.

3. my Answer: Sure. Atheists can make a commercial about current scientific knowledge and Agnostics can make a commercial about something they're not one way or the other about. Jews and Muslims have the right make a commercial about their beliefs as well. If they can get the funding and backing I don't see why not. I draw the line at devil and laundry soap worshipers. They're clearly up to no good. Teddy Ruxpen and Snuggles bear are clearly the works of evil.

As a Black man myself, I can truly say BET sucks beyond suck without sounding like a racist bigot. That's what I think of it anyway. WET is pretty much just about every channel anyway...so I fail to see the point in having one. That would be as redundant as the KFC Double-Down. USA is a everyone channel isn't it? If not it's close to one.

By the way, I'm only speaking for my own reasoning of things. This is just my opinion. It doesn't represent all. Just me and the way I see things. All in all, it's just the yin and yang of things. I hope this was a little entertaining.

Not all of us know what Blue's whatever is. I'm single with no younger siblings and my friends that have kids almost all of them are babies and the one person I know with kids old enough to watch stuff it's either Star Wars Clone Wars or Sesame Street.

Last "kids" show I watched was Kim Possible.

Hey guys I just wanted to comment about SOPA and GoDaddy real quick. My brother-inlaw works at GoDaddy and said that they do not support SOPA at all. The rumblings within the company are that some lawyer saw SOPA and decided that looked good and stuck GoDaddy on the list of supporting companies. Within the same day they had removed their name from the supporting list and never made any efforts to support SOPA in any way.

I am no GoDaddy supporter really, what with the CEO out killing elephants and all, but with SOPA they are really not involved.

The only thing to be aware of is that the range of the wireless HDMI setup isn't vast - you'll get away with going through a single wall, but transmitting and receiving from opposite ends of the house would be a stretch.
BRB, i'm buying that.

I couldn't understand why GoDaddy would support SOPA, but that sounds like a plausible explaination. It would be a really idiotic considering the type of business they're in involves website building. They would lose a TON of income if they really supported it.

There's also government conspiracy theories that may have underhandedly put their name on the support list. But our government is WAAY to honest to do that.

i tried watching that for the same reason and i had to give up on it because it was so damn hokey. i just couldnt get why people liked it so much and the shit they were doing in the film was laughable like someone trying really hard to be cool but failing miserably.

Cheapy, Wombat and Ship, I'm sorry guys, but the stance of "The ESA is small potatoes so it's not worth boycotting" is weak. Boycotting E3 doesn't only effect the ESA. It effects every vendor and publisher that would attend it! And many of those companies still support SOPA/PIPA. You're sending a message to the industry as whole, not just the ESA.

Also, I'm with Wombat 100% on the FoF commercial. Imagine the outrage if there were a commercial with kids reading a passage from the Quran, or the Torah, or an atheistic message.

You don't want to hear about pancakes and PIPA hot SOPA-PILLAS?

Now that you mention it...it does sound more food related.

The Blue skidoo comment about Saint's Row: The Third made me laugh.

My only problem with Wombat's football ad complaint was his argument that the NFL is a family-friendly event. I rolled my eyes when people said that about the Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction, when you consider the sleazy GoDaddy ads you see during the commercial breaks. I don't watch football, but I'm sure there are other ads that are geared to an adult male crowd.

I'm a Christian Pastor and I agree with Wombat. I would never hesitate to share my faith in person, or even in this forum, but to just slam it into your face while on television? Yeah, no thanks.

I doubt Wombat would have been near as offended if someone talked to him about the contents of John 3:16 in person than he was getting it in the middle of an NFL game. That's the way Jesus told us to do it anyway.

Also, Wombat, I have now watched the first two seasons of How I Met Your Mother after your initial rage tweet. Thanks for introducing me to the show.

What would the reaction be to a quote from the Quran about how all who follow Islam are chosen? And would CBS dare play that advertisement?

Religion divides us.

Thank goodness one of you are finally getting a gaming PC. Maybe the podcast can quit living in an alternate reality in which PC games don't exist.

Quote of the show:

Wombat quote of the show "I think the NFL which is so involved in being family friendly, it wasn't appropriate"..... for an organization called Focus on the Family.

The verse is telling you that you have a choice Wombat. Not to go to hell. I'm sorry you (and probably several others) perceive it that way.

I don't post a whole lot, but after listening to the podcast I have to agree with Wombat as well. I don't feel it is appropriate for CBS to play that particular advert, during a football game or otherwise. There are some areas TV channels in general should be wise enough to avoid, this being one of them. Advertising religious or political beliefs (discounting the unavoidable campaign ads) should be a red flag for anyone in the ad department. For either of those types of advertisement the only possible outcome is that you be upsetting a group of people. I'm sure that CBS received a nice pile of mail on the issue already.

Also, Cheapy, it will be nice to start hearing more talk about PC games if you do decide on the wireless HDMI route, so many "game" podcasts seem to ignore the platform completely.
