I just got a 3DS w/coupon. Pretty smooth transaction (compared to my Arkahm City fiasco). This would be my first handheld since the orignal GBA came out!

I have the Rock Band 3 on the but I had to double dip just for the keyboard. A whole new fun experience which actually made me buy DLC

What happened to the guy that worked for Kmart that used to post here. Is he gone? He used to post the upcoming deals and coupons and whatnot. So is Kmart back in the "we dont give a flying about games" business?

I think you are referring to SHC-Gamer ... he said his goodbyes last month. I believe he and his staff got axed during the SEARS re-structuring process (parent company of K-mart).

Yeah SHC is gone and so are the deals.

It's back to who-gives-a-flying- Kmart.

Bummer, he was good for their company. Sums up why Kmart/sears sucks so hard when you let one of your best sales/marketing/management people go. So there goes their electronics department right back in the shitter.

I don't think he's actually gone from the company.

Last I heard, he said his entire team left (Stock Boy quit, not sure about the others) and that the deals were on "pause" while he thought about what he wanted to do in the future.

As far as I know, he still works for the company, but it seems all of his funding has been cut and he's the only guy there along with whoever runs the Facebook page. The Facebook page wrote this a few days ago:

We're in the process of making a few changes as well as getting the team re-aligned. Hopefully we'll get things rolling again at some point.

Not a real hopeful message, imo. Anyways, hopefully Target continues busting out great deals like they did this week and then it won't matter.

This is the first major release week in 2012 for games and I'd love to see how it did at K-Mart compared to last year -- I can't imagine they sold many copies of anything at all without any deals. K-Mart went from being one of the leaders in release week deals to dead last just like that.

What happened to the official Kmart/SHC thread? Did they do away with their gaming deals? I loved the $15-20 gaming coupon deals, but now I'll have to shop somewhere else.

Once Upon a Monster for only $14.99??? Nice. I'll definitely be picking that up if TRU actually has enough in stock. Their inventory has been pretty barren on non-shovelware games ever since Christmas.

Also, not a bad deal on "Lady and the Tramp" Blu-Ray if they let you stack the gift card and $5 coupon together.

It still shows as $49.99 if you look it up through store inventory, so unless they decide to drop it to 39.99 when they typically do on Mondays, it's will indeed be above MSRP.

Also, this isn't an ad they're going to have in a newspaper, it's going to be online only, so it's not exactly like it'd be hard for them to fix at all given there isn't any hard copies to deal with...
