Bought The Guild II Collection with a 50% off coupon in the end. Having read the Steam forums, there's an equal amount of love/hate for it, pretty much a Marmite title.

WTH is Marmite? Is this, since you ask:

For the record, I'm a "no" person on Marmite. You didn't ask, but if you did that'd be my answer

Back to The Guild II, I think I'll hold it in my inventory until I have a strong feeling about it. I want to like it, I'm just not sure if I will.

What do you think the chances are of a Leap Day sale for the midweek madness this week?

EDIT: oh and put me down as NO person in the great Marmite debate.

I doubt it. Too many coupons out there but Valve may surprise me.

As much chance as there is of Half Life 3 being released then. Though I keep wanting to think that there was a small Spring Sale last year, but I can't remember clearly enough.

Don't remember unfortunately. I know there was a Summer, Fall and Winter sale last year. Feels like there was a Spring sale, but it's probably my mind playing tricks on me. Regardless even if there was one, it wouldn't happen this year before the tickets expire.

I think there were catalog (publisher) weeks last year, which would explain this in my purchase history:

Quote:
Feb 21, 2011
$74.99
Purchase
Square Holiday Pack (NA)

I was hoping for the same thing this year to take better advantage of the coupons.

That's all well and good, but how do you guys feel about Marmite?
Old 02-28-2012, 11:45 AM   #89
I have never even heard of Marmite until this thread.

I thought Deus Ex and its dlc were supposed to be on sale on Amazon until tomorrow. It's $24 and $15 for the dlc.

No, Deus Ex was never supposed to be part of the sale. It was only that low because Amazon price matched Steam's sale price. Once the steam sale ended, so did Amazon's price match.

Now I'm confident Valve is trolling all of us still holding coupons.

, the midweek madness deal is Assassin Creed Revelation for $25, which sucks for me when I used a coupon to get it two weeks ago for $40. !

Dead Mountaineer's Hotel looks and sounds like my kind of adventure game but the reviews are awful.

Ooo nice. Might have to seriously consider this one but I just got Brotherhood from amazon and barely even have anytime to play that.

Don't suppose anyone has a coupon that works on AC Rev by chance that they'd like to give away?

Well, if anyone has an Ubisoft coupon they'd like to share... Have nothing to offer but coupons though .

It's on my wishlist and $2.50 is my sweet spot, but damn, those reviews are bad.

I probably wasn't going to buy it anyways since I have a large backlog of adventure games, but after reading the reviews, I wouldn't touch it at all.
