For the 1.27 I spent Homefront was awesome. And really if it was executed better it could have been an amazing game for even $60. A longer campaign and maybe throw in a few more things to break up the normal shooting and you'd have a great game. Even as is there's a lot to like.

There is a scene which is rather disturbing and not necessary where some soldiers shoot the parents of a toddler right in front of him and then he balls as he runs to their bullet ridden corpses . And the campaign is DEFINITELY short, it's 7 levels and you start right as the Koreans are beginning to go too far in terms of killings and abuse, and then it ends just as the US retakes it's first major city.

It's an M rated game about a foreign nation taking over the US. I expected to see graphic visuals. So to me it fit into the game perfectly. Albeit maybe it was a bit over the top of them to put it in there. But it definitely fit with the brutal storyline.

It fit in I guess sure...guess it seemed a little unnecessary to me since I have a 1 1/2 year old and a 2 year old . Plus that's an image you rarely see in movies, let alone gaming. Kids and violent acts aren't often shown.

You played the game in front of them?

Haha No! But I can identify with it a little more having kids around the same age.

That whole bus ride is a tough scene to watch, but it definitely sets the tone for the game. That is one of the reasons I like the game. The premise is possible (though China woulds probably be the invaders, rather than Korea).

I should add I haven't played many "war" FPS (other than black ops), so I am not sure if they borrowed from other series, but I enjoyed the single player campaign. I haven't tried multiplayer yet.

I loved it, played the entire game and all faction story lines. Traded it for 30 to Amazon and now really wish I still had it as the DLC looks cool (Pirates !!)

actually americas treasury and central bank are the primary owners of our debt. which is quite the interesting paradox that we are indebted to ourselves aka the federal reserve which exists outside the bounds of american laws assuming of course americas central bank isnt owned by a foreign entity. the problem is how astronomical the debt is.

china dont get me wrong is a huge lender and probably owns us a few states. but they are not the primary owner.

its quite interesting the american government has little to no power over the federal reserve. its like a 4th indepedent branch of government.

Simply put, if China stops lending us money it will be a slower fall. OR if China calls in our debt then we are screwed nice and fast. They have a large role in our fate as they are one of the few countries that can still cover our deficit spending.

We owe ourselves a majority of money, but we can't keep going on without China still lending us money. When's the last time we didn't have deficit spending?

Best Buy announced the stores they will be closing:

http://pr.bby.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=24...3036&highlight=

Luckily, none are in my home state of Oregon. I receive great service at my local Best Buys and am glad that the good folks there will not be losing their jobs.

Closest closing store to me is EPA. It won't have any effect as I have 3-4 stores closer.

i couldnt last 15 min in homefront. the opening cinematic was so realistic i got completely psyched out, tried playing for a few min, got killed, then turned off my 360. maybe ill go back to it later, but idunno, too close for comfort, especially since i go to school in sf.

Basically if the world debt is ever settled, it could cause a war when we can't pay up. China has been breeding/training an army for decades plus they are allies with Korea and enemies with Japan (where we basically are the only military due to WW2 agreements). I would think the conflict would start with japan, then spread, but these are all hypothetical situations.

Personally, I think we should wipe out Iran while we still can. An area with a 2,000 + year old grudge, one of the most powerful empires in history, nuclear facilities, and a hatred for America is not a good thing...Especially since we basically put Saddam into power/helped Iraq fight against Iran.

How about we just mind our own damn business?
