The guy took one look in my box of phones and kindly directed me to a recycling bin. Considering the look on his face, I think I'm lucky they didn't charge me for the damn things. Oh well, at least I'm finally rid of them and they're not going to the dump.

Every now and then Radio Shack runs a promo that gives $10 store credit for any phone that turns on and has a charger. No phone purchase required. I turned in about 15 phones I had laying around.

well ya think giftcards will work online that day or must be instant use?

also i guess kinect adventures for 1.99 from gamestop won't work because it isn't in their system?
same with madden 09's for ps3/360?

The way it's reading is that it's a coupon (not GC) that must be used right then and there.

Sorry if the phone trade in was confusing or ymmv. I had talked to the mobile manager at the target where I work and he had said any phone as long as it turns on. He could have been misinformed or just blowing smoke, but it did in fact work without me having to buy a phone. Definitely going to try out the game promo in the morning though.

It probably worked in the same way the pre-order bonuses for game trade-ins work at BB. Not tied to each other in the system. Hope that mobile guy doesn't get in trouble over it.

Old sports titles is what I'm going to do.

If this promo goes by what you can trade in on the Nextworth site, then I already have four older games I can get rid o--I mean, trade in.

Hopefully this deal works out how it sounds, and if so, Jak & Daxter HD Collection and SMT: Devil Survivor 2 will be mine for ~$30 total!

Trading in old sports games and racers towards AC:R, DMC HD, and the two you stated above if I can. Thanks for mentioning Devil Survivor 2, I completely forgot they stocked it. Maybe getting Kirby Mass Attack as well. If there are more restrictions on this than we're all expecting, I'll be crushed

I have a couple of older current generation games that I'm hoping will work (Capcom Puzzle World, Resident Evil 5, Perfect Dark Zero, and Gun). It would be nice to pick up some new Vita titles for half off.

Double-checked and it looks like you're right about DMC. Must have gotten confused between Target and Best Buy, since I've been in both pretty frequently lately. Kinda depressing though.

Sonic Generations is a good alternative then I guess. Better deal for me than Newegg as I get to clear out some space.

I was sure I saw DMC in my Target. May be mistaken though. I'll report back tomorrow.

The closest Target to me is a Super Target, it opens at 8AM tomorrow. But the mobile shop doesn't open till 10AM. I'm still pondering on what to pick up since I pretty much have all the games I want to play in my backlog from BB, and Gamefly.
