Gamersgate appears to be having a Sega week, though like usual, they have a mishmash of stuff up on Sunday while they take things down and put the new stuff up. Few things not on sale at all yet that I expect will be added in a bit.

Highlights:
Football Manager 2012: 9.00 USD
Total War Shogun 2 DLC in a variety of discounts
Sonic Generations 15.00 USD
Condemned Criminal Origins 8.00 USD (mentioned mainly because it doesn't go on sale much)
Most of the Total War base games on sale for the usual prices

Random link http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-FM2012/...l-manager-2012

A lot of Sega's stuff from the past few years is Steamworks so registers on there (Shogun 2, Sonic Generations, Renegade Ops, Football Manager).

There's also another sale on Magicka and it's dozen DLC going on right now.

Any word on whether Shogun 2 will be on sale, or just the DLC? It seems silly to do that, and that's pretty much the only game that I want and don't have from Sega. Hopefully it goes on sale.

I'd wager the whole catalog besides maybe Binary Domain and Fall of the Samurai will get a discount. Gamersgate always has muddled and confusing sales in the Sunday/Monday timeframe.

Thanks for the head's up, Corpekata. I might pick up a few things when the sale prices flip over.

Thanks for that, I guess I will check back for the next couple days. Grabbed Sonic CD since I didn't realize that was Steamworks.

Today's deal is Supreme Commander 2 at 66% off ($5.09).

Infinite War Battle Pack DLC is $3.39.

SupCom 2 is one of those games that the developer improved greatly since launch. The DLC is worthy of purchase and adds a considerable amount of content to the game. You'd definitely get your money's worth if you like singleplayer and skirmish modes. I can't speak to the online scene since I play it almost exclusively off.

Having said that, I believe it has been a bit cheaper.

Yep. You don't get charged until the end and only if they project meets its goals so there's no risk of losing money on a project that does not meet its goal. Actually, there's more risk involved in ones that do meet their goal but then down the line for whatever reason just fold. I don't think that has happened yet to any high profile projects, but the whole everyone and their grandma doing a Kickstarter is a really recent thing still.

I read through all the fine print and I don't think there is any recourse you have if that happens. Once the end of the Kickstarter hits if funding is met they take your money and it's gone forever so people need to be really confident about the projects and developers they are supporting. I don't think people just looking for cheap game deals should be going around supporting a bunch of Kickstarters without really looking into them because there's no guarantee of an end product.

Any thoughts on this game? I got the whole Squeenix pack a little while back so I own it but never bothered installing it. Maybe I should?

SC2 is pretty bad, especially comparing it to Supreme Commander/SC Forged Alliance. I'd just save your money and get SC FA.

That's great pinkgun, thanks a lot for posting!
Looks like I'll finally get AvP as I thought even $5 was too much for a game I probably won't play much so I was hoping to get it on GamersGate this week. Should be about $3.19 with the IGN discount. Knowing the daily deals ahead I think I'm gonna go ahead and grab Sonic CD now, I even have enough blue coins saved to get it for free.

I posted this in the Gamersgate thread but will post here too...

For anyone interested, these are the DLCs that are not part of the Gamersgate Magicka Collection (according to the list on Steam):

Holiday Spirit $1.00
Horror Props Item Pack $1.50
Lonely Island Cruise $1.00
The Stars Are Left $2.98

So it looks like a total of $12.47 for the game and all DLC available compared to Steam's current Collection price of $24.99 or ~50% off. Anyone know if Steam puts the collection on sale for less than that? I have had this one on my wishlist for quite a while.
Old 04-30-2012, 02:13 PM   #2534
Hmmm AvP isn't showing up on sale yet, but I might just grab it too since I've been looking at it for a while. GetGamesGo has The Club for 2 bucks, that was a fun game on the 360 but I don't know how the online community is right now.

Well this is actually a daily special in SEGA week, now I put "DAY" before the numbers
