I saw them live a couple months ago, super awesome show. Their first album is definitely better, but their second is really fun to listen to.

How about the ing legend

Love that song, off his new album that came out a few weeks ago. He's headlining ID Festival, and he's gonna be in LA next month so I'm gonna get to see him for the first time

Just saw this thread, big fan of house music but definitely harder, louder songs . Like skrillex haha, but Seven Lions is really good, and basically anything top 10 on beatport.com is worth a listen

Does anyone else find Deadmau5's constant comments about the genre annoying? Guy acts like he is the god of EDM and whatever he says should go.

I always felt the same about KRS-one with hip-hop music. No one elected these clowns.

He makes damn good music, so if he's a douche sometimes then there it is. Same with Kanye West.

Yeah but Kanye doesn't "Speak for hip-hop". I don't mind douchiness, I do mind someone thinking they are the authority on anything involving your music genre.

No respecting dance listener even acknowledges him. People who haven't been exposed to real producers like him.

And FUCK YES Prydz aka Pryda aka Cirez D aka the master is right up there with Eco as my favorite trance producers ATM. This one still gives me goosebumps, even though it's only a remix:

Continuing my downtempo trend.

Live in Vanilla - Robot Boy
Her Space Holiday - The Phonograph (skip to 0:27)
Stonyridge Terrace - Ian Pooley

I assume most of you are talking about deadmau5's interview with Rolling Stone, the one where he's on the cover. I agree he may come across as a bit of a pretentious a-hole, but at least some of the stuff he says is credible and plausible, especially since he's been in the game for about seven years and is constantly addicted to audio engineering shit. Would the viewpoint change if someone like Armin or Tiesto said the same thing in the interview?

That being said, check out my Electro House mix that I made on my Traktor S4 a while back. I'd appreciate any sort of feedback here, on youtube, or on my facebook fanpage. Helps keeps my motivation up. May get around to posting some original tracks I made as well. Cheers CAG.

If you're speaking of the legend then you misspelled Aphex Twin.

4:30 is the beginning of the actual song.

Going to see Squarepusher in October, can't wait!

It's not just one interview. It's comment after comment after comment. And hey, you can have your opinion, but the guys states opinions like it's the way the genre should be no matter what anyone else likes/does/thinks.

I agree here. His comments aren't just a one time instance. He does this over and over and over now. Yes, he's good, but he's not a God of the genre. I enjoy his tracks personally, but I think his attitude is pretty shitty.

The man's not one to shy away from speaking his mind. A lot of truth to it too, even if it's not even close to being true for all DJs

For those interested, Deadmau5's last 2011 concert, is up on Netflix. I watched it this afternoon. It was not bad at all.

tcrash you lucky bastard. I'd love to see some Squarepusher live. As for my opinion on Deadmau5 (since we seem to be doing that) I think he comes off like a prick and maybe he is or isn't. I just don't follow enough of him aside from his music but I wasn't too upset at all when he got punched. As for his music. Don't really care for it. I'll take it in short bursts from my friends but I wouldn't ever buy his albums. Would I go see him live? Totally.

For a Christian act they are pretty darn good.

But they are pretty ing Christian. That's going to cost you in the techno world.
