Have you ever gotten in a fight?

The one that sticks out in my mind was my first year of middle school so I was nervous wreck during the awkward change from grade school. During gym class all the boys were lined up and the instructer was going over the days lesson. The class bullies were sneaking up behind people and pulling down their pants. They did it to me so I turned around and pushed the guy and a couple punches landed on both sides. The teacher ran over and split us up. I think I landed the most blows, I know I clocked him in the face a couple times.

After the fight in the locker room the bully's friends stole one of my shoes and I was trying to get it back. A couple big guys from the football team came to my defense and scared them away and they brought my shoe back. They never messed with me again. It worked out to my favor since I didn't allow myself to become a target of bullying, and the big jocks were actually kinda nice. Anyways we both got detention for a few days. Worth it.

Almost puched a kid in the movie theaters. I was watching a movie with a girl I just started dating. The only people in the theater was us and 3 kids (probably 3 or 4 years younger than me) sitting several rows behind. They started throwing popcorn at us. I'm usually a non-confrontational guy but I didn't want to look like a pussy infront of my gf so I stood up, walked over to the kids and yelled at them. They said it wasn't them. Obviously it was, but like arguing with a child they kept spouting nonsense. I was getting angry and was really close to grabing one of the little ers and decking him, but I cooled down got my gf and left. Little did they know I used to work at that theater so I got the manager to kick them out. I even remember the movie: The Truman Show.

2 or 3 fights with friends. Usually over stupid things.

i always hated the "showdown" fights in school. I always got in fights because kids didn't like me so they told me meet at the park on friday ect...

I always won being bigger and taller but man it was a pain in the ass. I never really cared and all I wanted to do was go home and play video games, but my friends would always pressure me until I went. They always said I'd never get laid if I backed down. Even when I won I would get made fun of for the way I fought lol with goofy swinging fists. And I never really got why kids wanted to fight me.

I remember I ran across a kid I beat bloody in high school at a party one night. I felt sorry for him because I beat him pretty bad and broke his nose. He never got a hit off on me. I asked him why he wanted to fight me back then and he said he couldn't remember lol. High school was retarded.

pick up game of soccer. kept completely shutting a kid out, legitimately, no dirty shit. had him tripping over his feet, wasn't saying shit, wasn't even giving him the "smirk." guess he had enough and started doing dirty shit, two footing me like 2 seconds after i had already passed, strong touch (enough to bust a few seams), just generally doing stuff that would get a yellow, maybe a red if we had a ref.

my team saw what was going on and stopped the game had a talk/stare down with the kid. agreed to stop it, just play the game. ball pops up i move into position for the volley, he comes flying in foot right at my head. saw it coming a mile away so i just stepped to the side and pushed him as hard as i could. he slammed his head into his knee got a nosebleed and after that was out for blood. landed a pretty good hit on me split my lip, bunch of body blows back and forth before the rest of the guys split us up.

i hated it and try to just remove myself from those situations now. i felt bad for the guy even as he was doing that shit just thinking why would you do this in a ing pick up game what are you trying to prove...

I have no idea how many fights I was in. Seemed like it was at least one a week in grade school.

I was a pretty bad kid, I guess. Didn't really do anything bad besides misbehavior, though. Didn't fight very much in high school. There were a few, but it seemed like more of a bother; I suppose I outgrew it.

Funny, because reading this made me think of Fight Club, where they were talking about not having been in a fight. That's not something I ever had to think about, but I can see how not having had that kind of "test" of yourself might stick in the back of your head.

I don't know if sparring counts as a fight, I used to box with friends a lot in HS. Also took martial arts.

Been in fights in bars, but those don't last too long- if nobody gets hurt, you just get kicked out and told not to come back. Fortunately I've never been involved with people who had to "keep it real" and go using weapons.

lmao sad thing is i could believe that would happen.

i used to fight alot when i was a kid , chip on the shoulder the teachers always said, truthfully i was just pissed and liked hurting people. the dumbest shit would set me off thought a kid was talking shit about me once and i kicked him in the face with boots ( i was in first or second grade then.

hit a teacher once but he was way out of line bending my thumb the way he did hell even my mom defended me on that one.

the usual fights with friends and such or random " hey you think youre that tough shit".

times are way diff now when i was growing up youd fight someone and then next day be friends or just let it be but everyone seems to have a freakin bloodlust these days and no compassion for life. im still an angry person but my mind is clearer than it was so i avoid people and situations i know could lead to fights or bullshit.

Drunken wrestling matches, damaged myself quite a bit. People think I weigh something but I don't, leads to some dangerous match ups.

But no I've never had to fight anyone. Watching them I feel super embarrassed for people, shit does not look as cool as it does in the movies. Awkward punches and ass cracks is all it is.

Junior Year of High school, my fiance, my friend and I were camping out for the Wii. We were the only people there for a few hours so when a car zooms in we get out of thinking it's time to start lining up. Only when the guys that got out started slurring their yells at us did we realize something was wrong. These roided out PCP heads (I know it was this due to the area of town we were in) advance on us accusing us of trying to watch them take a piss. I assured them that wasn't the case but there was no reasoning with him. I told the guy he needed to get out of my face and he asked me what would happen if he didn't. I told him that we'd probably end up fighting which wouldn't be good because I was underage, which meant a guaranteed prison sentence for him. He went on about liking me because I had balls before trying to attack me. I got smacked into the hood before getting a couple knocks into his face before the sirens came. Turns out they had stolen the care they were in and the cops got in a couple knocks before taken them away.

I only got in one genuine fight. With a kid a foot taller than me and probably three times my weight. I punched him once in the face, a "real" punch and he suddenly didn't want to fight anymore. But I felt terrible about it, and kinda told myself I'd never get in a fight again unless it was some genuinely unforgivable shit done to me. The guy had his buddies with him and instead of jumping in and stomping my ass, they laughed at him.

Other than that, just small fights more like shoving matches than anything. But the funny thing is I'd usually end up being friends (or at least civil) towards all of the other guys. Kinda like in grade school. Where you get in a fight and end up bonding sitting in that chair outside the prinicipal's office waiting for the both of you to go in there and get yelled at.

pretty sure they do that on purpose. really, what is the principle doing that he couldn't talk to some kids right away?

I have very vague memories of getting into a fight in fifth grade. It was a mutual thing in which we agreed to fight at the end of school at three. I think it was about the general shit talking that boys do. We insulted each other and then it was decided that we fight it out. I probably started it because I had a big mouth and commented on everything. This would either make people laugh or get mad. This was probably it.

It was broken up very quickly by administrators. I have fuzzy memories of being taken to the office, but I have no recollection of what happened after that. I can only guess that we were both given detention. I have no memories of even interacting with the other guy ever again.

As far as injuries go, I have no memory of what he looked like after the fight. I only remember that I had a black eye and that my knuckles hurt, implying I got him too. I really have no idea though. My memory is terrible.

yeah, but not because of fighting. Sophomore year me and my buddies employed the services of a homeless man to buy us booze on a regular basis. Soon after we discovered the effects large amounts of alcohol have upon girls and their inhibitions.

Back in grade school through high school I got into the occasional fight, but I couldn't defend myself worth a shit, so I would always try to talk my way out of them. Of course, I loved talking shit up to the point of the fight.

Thing is, I watched a lot of pro wrestling as a kid, so I was always looking for a foreign object to nail the other kid with.

I remember the one fight. The kid goes to start swinging, I grabbed a full trash can, put it over his head and then kicked him and the can down half a flight of stairs.

Another time my one buddies nephew who was a freshman kept coming up to me and knocking books outta my hand. I let him get away with it for about week. Then the one day I threw down the rest of them, took off after him and picked him up by his throat after slamming him against some empty lockers.

Since HS though I've been in a few altercations, usually only heated words exchanged and then that's that.
