Why are Jericho and Kane even in the MITB? What have they done to make either one of them remotely threatening? I'm glad Cena and Kane are apparently pals now who encourage each other. Maybe instead of embracing the hate they embraced each other.

I honestly don't think I can handle 3 hours of that each week.

Heh, Punk/Bryan slipped the Sonnen/Silva missed spinning back fist into grounded knee to the chest into the main event.

Ha! Good catch.

On the bright side (if there is one), that should be the final appearance of the computer being the GM.

I skimmed a recap, and saw they had 5-6 matches, most of them in the 0-2 minute range, 1 over 3 minutes, and 1 over 6 minutes. So, yeah. I'm glad I got a DVR again.

Can't decide the fan of the night.. The guy with the "AJ! Undertake my VIRGINITY!" sign, or the stupid woman who brought her several month old baby to the event.

I vote for the guy who wanted to fistbump with Bob Backlund but got a consolation high five.

I watched about ten minutes of RAW tonight. That alone felt like two hours on its own. Oh and seriously @ the anonymous RAW GM reveal... yeah can the WWE go the way of WCW now please.

Hey guys, no joke: TNA is pretty solid right now.

Forward to 11m 52s for Aries-Roode.

I subscribed to TNA's YouTube channel. Lars Only/Johnny Yuma is actually a friend of mine. I'm genuinely thrilled to see him working for TNA. I guess I'll have to cut my WWE time in half to share with TNA. WEIRD.

Really would love for TNA to give the RockNES Monsters a shot, but I fear it'd end up a lot like the Young Bucks.

I really like where all of this is (potentially) heading. It seems like they might be looking to focus on.. dare I say it.. wrestling.

/edit: Pac denies rumors:
So she's a more athletic Victoria? Cool but she'll be underused by WWE or they'll bring back the piggy insult by the heel females.

I wasn't joking in the first place. I'm not saying "I told you so", I'm just glad people are finally giving it a chance and enjoying it.

JJ: Wasn't TNA in a weird place during the time they employed The Young Bucks? Wasn't that right before they started to get their act together?

Any company that puts their World Heavyweight championship around Austin Aries deserves another chance. From what I've gathered, the story they ran with Aries and Roode was/has been pretty solid. And the "relinquish the X-Division championship for a World title shot" angle going forward puts a lot of emphasis back on the X-Division. Do we credit Dave Lagana, or what, for turning TNA around? Plus, I saw that they put Samoa Joe over Kurt Angle. The finish to that match was quite nice. And last, but certainly not least, while watching Aries-Roode, I noticed that Tenay and Borash let the match speak for itself instead of polluting the air with too much commentary like Cole does in WWE. Somewhat refreshing.

It's kind of surreal to see PWG talent show up on TNA. Between the Bucks and now Yuma, Joey, and Scorpio Sky, it definitely gives me some hope that companies are starting to push indy workers as the future of the business. Did anyone really think Austin Aries (a guy who didn't make Tough Enough, mind you) would be champion of a roster that includes Sting, Angle, Hogan, Hardy, RVD, Anderson, or Bully Ray?

We've got Punk and Bryan in the forefront on Raw, Claudio on SD, a slew of guys in TNA, and Hero, Rollins, and Mox waiting in the wings (and the rumored signing of PAC). Kind of cool.

Can someone sign Kenny Omega next?

Goddamn Raw was so bad. I can't help but think they are doing it on purpose for some kind of huge shake up for the 1000 episode and the move to 3 hours. With all the talent they have, and yet nothing engaging as far as story lines or characters go perhaps, they are setting up for some kind of entire WWE-wide reboot? That is the only thing I can think of to justify how terrible of a show it was tonite.... on every single level imaginable. And after reading Smack Down spoilers, no surprise that show doesn't seem any better.
Old 07-10-2012, 03:11 AM   #478
As bad as Raw was, Smackdown sounds as bad or even worse, judging from the spoilers.

"The man that gravity forgot" is really catchy. Last weeks Impact I just stopped watching. However, putting the belt on Aries and moving Joe up in the BFG series makes me want to give them yet another chance. Also, Raw GM.....in the words of Miz, who they should have brought out just to do it, Really? REALLY? Really? Good to see Heath Slater AFTER Cena for once.

Punk high fiving him self was the best part of Raw sadly, Slater being the second. Those photobombs are great!
