Isn't the Vita pretty much dying... No games, and the few that are on there are dropping in price quickly.

Excited for Jojo's HD. But still... so many fighters coming out. The 2nd coming of the fighting game dark ages is nearing...

I wasted my money on GaYsBLU and Trollcana Heart. So I bought a Vita. It's actually a great system. But the games are coming out at a trickles pace. The features slam the 3ds and have better online capability than the PS3. Just needs some games. And people were saying the 3ds was dying last year too when it sold worse than the vita at this point in time.

I say give it time. Everyone says that Doom and Gloom shit about Sony, Nintendo, Google and whatnot. Don't believe that hype.

But it is rough times ahead. The only platforms that are going to just go up and up are the mobile sectors with Android and iOS. Sony, MS and Nintendo are screwed for next gen. The wii single handedly destroyed the video game industry, all the casuals bought it and realized they dont need a full console for mini games, just some apps on their phones or tablets.

The hardcore will remain for now, but the hardcore gaming scene isnt very big. And honestly, what is upgrading to a PS4/720 going to get me, i already have fully functional online on both systems and games in hd. If prettier graphics could do it, then people would all have GTX680s in their pc's.

Im really interested to see where all of this ends up at. Exciting times, thats for sure. And i agree with option, the dark age of fighters is here. Too many, and prices like 20 bucks for jojo is absurd. Things will slow down hard.

The real dark age won't start until Mace; The Dark Age gets a remake/reboot. Or an HD rerelease.

My PS3 only plays fighters and Blurays, 360 holds down my desk, and PC is where I game 99% of the time. Steam owns my wallet.

I haven't been gaming much in quite a while but I wanted to do so tonight and can't right now due to my internet service.

I'm calling tomorrow and getting dsl. There's no ing way it could be any worse at these so called peak hours.

I might go back to cable if they ever get there fiber optic going.

Just did a speed test and it read 0.9mb then 4mb then 2mb then 1mb ect ect. Unstable piece of shit. Its only like that during the so called peak hours.

I wasn't dicking around today. Got up and put in a order for service for that DSL. There coming Friday between 1pm-5pm. I love the time there coming but it would have been better if they said Wensday.

The prices have changed for the service. Its faster than my cable is and cheaper.

They claim it don't boggle down at certain times but we'll see. I would be willing to bet money it wouldn't get as slow as the cable does from what I've seen. I've been at my friends house testing it during the times mine sucks ass. Its results are still what they should be.

When my cable craps out it goes to like 6-15 mbps. BOO THAT SUCKS! I pay for 30-40 mbps and I want it at that speed ALWAYS. SHAKE DAT CABLE LAFFY TAFFY. NO BOY NO CRY!

So... Will I be happy with the DSL or will it tank on me as well? I don't care much about the actual speed as long as its stable. When I had 3mb it was fine for games as long as it was stable.

Yours gets down to 6-15mb from 30-40? Craziness. I know internet isn't always perfect but geez. xD

Mines only 5mb and it gets down to the amazing 0.8mb is about the lowest anymore. Before they did what it could get down to 0.2mb <_<

You should be happy with DSL. It's a lot more stable than Cable, but the speeds are a hell of a lot lower. If I had money, I'd get that 100 mbps down but it's like 200 bucks per month. Don't have that kinda cash to burn. If I did, I'd be KOFing all day EVERY DAY

My cable speed here was just 5mb and the dsl I'm getting is 7mb. Not a whole lot of difference but long as it don't get as unstable as the cable does I wouldn't care. Oh and the dsl is 10 dollars cheaper per month. Also the upload on the dsl is way better. upload on the dsl is 1mb and on my cable its the amazing 256k.

I was at my friends house tonight testing there dsl service when I knew my cable service was sucking. The pingtest/speedtest always came back about the same. I just hope I get the same results when I have it but who knows maybe the peak hours are different for the dsl and it still tanks at different times.

I was holding off on buying a few games until I saw if the dsl was shit or not.

I know one thing that works in my favor. Almost everyone here has the cable internet. I know like 2 people with the dsl.

That's also why the cable internet is so shitty. I doubt they ever upgraded it since day one and I know of at least 50 people within a mile that has it.

They claimed they added something in the office to help with the slow speeds of the cable and for a while it seemed it helped but the past week or so of the night its back to its old self again.

The cable company told me they was getting fiber optic in 8 months. This was in March when I asked. That's what made me switch to be honest. I called today and now they said it was delayed and it would be next summer. I thought screw that. I'll get the dsl a while and switch back to cable if they ever get there fiber optic going.

I tried to get the dsl service one time before. I waited all day on them and they never showed or called. I gave up and now since I had some money I was going to give them another chance. I'm not canceling my cable internet until I see the dsl installed and working. So at least if they stand me up again or something goes wrong. I still have the cable as shitty as it is. Better than nothing I guess.

I did it at a good time. The billing cycle doesn't start for the cable until the 1st. So I have a while to cancel it if I like the dsl service. Hopefully I have the dsl in Friday. I'll abuse it over the weekend and game more than usual to see how it does.

That's the other weird part. I didn't play a game for a entire week and when I finally did of the night it was so laggy I gave up. I think that's the thing that pissed me off and made me think about getting dsl instead. The idea of my cable is you either stay up really late to use it or you use it before everyone is on it. Either way I don't think that's fair/right.

Shit man, I have the entire Star Wars trilogy on it too. They're the original theatrical releases which never came out on DVD or Blu ray. It's a tribute to the 90s. Infact I have FOUR laserdisc players.

I remember back when our laserdisc player got stolen and then my parents went ahead and replaced the damn thing.

To be fair, a laserdisc has better sound quality than a dvd player, has better color reproduction than a bluray player and having the chakra of doom is pretty ing tits.

During the day... My internet is fine... The later it gets the worse it gets. Start returning terrible results so I don't regret getting rid of cable.

By 5pm its a little off. Not bad but not great. By 7pm its getting sucky. By 8-8:30 its in the land of ass until 11:30

There's only one thing that bugs me about that dsl. The ping isn't as good as the cable can get when the cable isn't sucking.

When the cable isn't sucking it never gets over 50-55ms for the results. Sometimes even pings in the 40ms. For that dsl when I tested it around the time my cable is complete ass. It always got 60ms for the results.

Its never that low of a ping except after 2am. lol

My internet is trolling me today. Its acting like its actually good. If I was to cancel getting the dsl it would turn to shit again.

I've done the pingtest over and over. Its never high. Highest was 45ms and lowest is 33ms. Something isn't right... <_<

why not try an actual ping test across the country? Don't ping inside your town man.
