Yeah man, it was been a while since we've played.

In regards to BlazBlue, I'm not sure how I feel about ANOTHER new game. I mean really, it's kind of getting out of control On one hand we won't get it in the US until probably March at the very earliest. I'll probably still end up getting it but I'm not sure if it'll be day 1 like the previous games.

Anyone else get P4A?

Yeah, I picked up P4A. I like it so far, but the control scheme is driving me insane. I don't like the default button layout at all, so I might need to switch it. Otherwise, it seems solid and easy to pick up and play on a very basic level. The juggles, movement, and combo timing are reminiscient of BlazBlue, unsurprisingly.

I think that BB: Chrono Phantasm has the potential to be awesome. It's a true sequel with a major overhaul to each character's move properties AND the engine itself. The implementation of the Overdrive mechanic and guard crush mechanic are game changing. I think it's going to be more frenetic than CS2 was, which can definitely be a good thing. It won't hit consoles for a long while, so I'm not all that worried about the multiple releases. I have a tendency of giving ArcSystem Works a little more flexibility in this regard over other companies, though.

After reading a lot about the system changes I'm a little less leery about it. It seems like a major overhaul. At $40 I'd probably get it day 1. $50/60 with the soundtrack like Calamity Trigger wouldn't be bad either.

I'm hoping I'll finally be able to get in this Wednesday (finally). What are we playing?

For $30 its not bad. If you want a real good stick I'd recommend waiting for a Mad Catz stick to go on sale. You can regularly get the TE sticks for about $99

That video was awesome. MarlinPie is one of my favorites too. It's too bad he doesn't travel to a lot of tournaments.

Kazimer I like Persona but it takes some getting used to. You need to play some Marvel with us again sometime.

It's not a bad case, the parts are pretty decent on it (much better than the old SFIV SE sticks). The nice thing is it's super easy to upgrade the parts to Sanwa/Seimitsu and change the artwork. You might also check your local Gamestop because I seem to recall them having the same stick for like $20.

Not off the wall at all. I have Soulcalibur V and I know a lot of the other guys do as well but it's not something we play that often. Personally I just got it when it was $10 at Best Buy (shootouts to Shinobi!) but haven't had time to play. KOF13 however is another store. Most of the "regular" members of the group (myself, Kensei, Gouki, Guardian, joe, Shinobi) have it & play it quite often. We usually have a session 9PM EST on Wednesdays if you wanna join.

Yep! A lot of us picked up SCV from the Gamefly sale, but haven't really played it. Almost all of us have KOF13.

As for Persona, I like it, but it takes a while to get used to the game mechanics. Like I said before, movement is akin to BlazBlue, but there are a number of unique button combinations that do unique movement options/attacks. It's relatively easy to pick up and play, though. I think it'd be a good game for us to play as a group, but only Kensei, Roses, and I have it right now.

I'll definitely hit you guys up soon. Sure I'm a shadow of my former self at this point. Playing P4A with my buddy tomorrow after work too, so maybe I can get a grasp on that one. Looks fun.

SoulCal's a good time. Haven't played it for a bit, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd throw down a few there too!
