I haven't heard anything (even rumors), but supposedly Gamestop schedules them for the end of quarters to drive up sales and impress shareholders. If this is correct, then the next one should start around Sept. 27.

Wow, thanks for the quick reply. I guess I'll hit up my local non-franchise used game store then, might get lucky and they'll have a spare.

I ordered one on Amazon for 3 bucks. I have a play and charge kit with my wireless controller and they said if they took it, it would have to be traded in a wired controller.

Gamestop's next fiscal quarter end would be near the end of October (like most retailers, their FY ends at the end of January).

Also, to clarify: Are you saying that the Wireless Controller would have to be counted as a 'wired' controller if it doesn't have a rechargeable battery-pack, even if it has the AA battery cover thing? Or are you saying that if traded WITHOUT either the pack/cover, it trades in as 'wired'?

I lost my 360 controller battery cover too. I picked one up on Ebay (2.65 with free shipping):

Interesting - that was the reason I heard for the B2G1 at the end of June, but it looks like the timing is not related to the end of quarters. I wouldn't be surprised if it was in the next few weeks anyway - it seems they sometimes do it right after a big trade-in bonus.

I kinda doubt they would do a B2G1 so close to the B2G1 you know they're going to do over Black Friday...but sometimes they inexplicably come in spurts so maybe we will see one.

I got mine with free shipping so 3 bucks total.

I didn't have the AA battery cover but I had a play n charge kit with it (rechargeable battery with the cord to recharge it) and they said if I traded it in this way, they would have to trade it in as Wired.

I have a 2nd gen Ipod Touch 16gb with what seems to be a bad headphone jack. Will they still take it and just charge me a re-furb fee? Should I trade it in or is that an easy fix?
