Never played Tetris DS, but I thought Axis was outstanding. Its in my top 5 most played games on the 3ds. Played it more than 3D Land, even.

9.99 or less and ill bite. I never pay much for puzzle games as they drop in price fast (Catherine being the exception).

I have not played Tetris DS, Tetris Party Deluxe or Tetris Axis. Which one is worth getting?

Seeing as Tetris DS is out of print and overpriced everywhere you try to buy it from, go with Deluxe.

I'm debating as well, and I'm wondering if this won't be like Tetris DS which could be found cheap.. for a very short while. Given that it's Nintendo published (Club Nintendo points!) I'm wondering if this is about as cheap as it will get outside of some random sightings like Target clearance. (Does Target even stock this?)

I'm not really concerned that because I can find it at a reasonable price. I just want to know which is better.

Ive paid for tetris too many times in my lifetime...

At this point anything more than 10 dollars for Tetris is just absurd.

Third party 3DS games actually come with Club Nintendo points now, even niche stuff like Tales of the Abyss. As for 1st party Nintendo prices, Best Buy has given us Metroid: Other M, Nintendogs, Pilotwings, Steel Diver, etc. for $5 last year so you never know.

Tetris Party Deluxe is feature rich, and a $19.99 value price game at Target.

Tetris purists get really picky about the different versions, but Party Deluxe is pretty damn good IMHO. Purists say Tetris DS is best. Axis is in stock in most Targets right now.

EDIT: Ah, it all comes clear now. Tetris DS has Mario and Yoshi in it--that must be what drove its popularity for so long.

$17.99 like new is overpriced?

Also, why would you need any version other than the OG Gameboy version? That was the first thing I bought for my 3DS because I need a $150 device to play a 23-year-old game.

Grabbed one for my girlfriend. She has been playing the Dr. Mario from the Eshop nonstop, figured this game would be a good break for her. Thanks for the post OP!
