It's nice to think about what we'll probably won't end up getting , but we can discuss it anyhow .

As far as my choice of game I think both of these games will end up luring me in , even if I only like 70% of the songs .

I can't think of alot of songs now [after working the mimdnight shift] but I'll post more songs when they come to mind .

THESE SONGS ARE NOT MY FAVORITES , JUST GOOD GH MATERIAL

AC/DC - Riff Raff [personal favorite]

Beastie Boys - No Sleep 'Til Brooklyn [ Kerry King of Slayer on guitar]

Marilyn Manson - Beautiful People [just begging to be in GH]

Metallica - Seek & Destroy [alot to choose from them , the older the better]

Nine Inch Nails - March Of The Pigs []

Ted Nugent - Stranglehold [long ass song , would make a good encore]

White Stripes - Ball And A Biscuit [probably encore material , due to length]

So there's some to get started with .

Try to keep the format I used ; Band - Song [short reason]

The Hookers - Rock n' Roll Motherfucker [once you hear it, you'll understand]

Os Catalepticos - (Any Song, Really) [makes psychobilly freakout look like "Mary Had a Little Lamb]

I disagree with No Sleep, and think that Run-DMC's "Rock Box" has a far more complex guitar line in it.

Off the top of my head for Rock Band,
At the Drive In - Lopsided

The Blood Brothers - Teen Heat

Cursive - Sink to the Beat

The Impossibles - Never Say Goodbye

Johnny Cash - Folsom Prison Blues

Modest Mouse - Doin' the Cockroach

But there is a 0% chance of them making the cut. :D

Linkin Park - Faint
Green Day - Brain Stew (could be an easy starter)
Metallica - No Leaf Clover
Papa Roach - Last Resort
Story of the Year - Our Time is Now (would be a hard one to master)
Cypress Hill - Rock Superstar
Godsmack - Whatever
The Killers - Somebody Told Me
The Offspring - Bad Habit
Powerman 5000 - Free
White Zombie - More Human Than Human
Rage Against The Machine - No Shelter
Static-X - Push It
Thrice - All That's Left

They all pretty much have great guitar riffs.

[quote name='Richlough']Ted Nugent - Stranglehold [long ass song , would make a good encore][/QUOTE]

Agree totally.

Also

GNR - Civil War
Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower
Hendrix - Voodoo Child

[quote name='radjago']I don't care how much Ozzy they're already done. It must be done.

Ozzy Osbourne - Crazy Train[/quote]

I concur. One of my favorite Ozzy songs.

Micheal Jackson - Beat It (Guitar by Eddie Van Halen)

Come on admit it this would be so much fun to play.

A fucking Led Zeppelin song already
Any number of Slayer songs
Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing
Deep Purple - Highway Star
Ween - It's Gonna be a Long Night

I would cream my pants if there were any Tenacious D in there. Double Team would be fucking awesome.

Metallica - Harvester of Sorrow
Bullet for my Valentine - Suffocating Under Words of Sorrow
Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Readymade
Tool - The Patient
Incubus - Anna Molly
Megadeth - This Was My Life
System of a Down - Sad Statue

The Who- Pinball Wizard, Behind Blue Eyes, My Generation
Biohazard- Punishment, Remember
Kiss- Detroit Rock City
Slayer- Raining Blood
Megadeth- A Tout Le Monde

[quote name='FaintDeftone']
Incubus - Anna Molly

That would be fucking sweet. I should have thought about that one...it would be perfect for GH

I second that!

I have high hopes for higher profile songs.. artists are starting to see the popularity of Guitar Hero and are lending talent to the game.. that's good news. I can't wait to hear the GH3 setlist.

Thrice - Artist in the Ambulance
An encore of parabola/parabola by Tool (that'd clock in at 9 minutes long)
Smashing Pumpkins - Zero, Everlasting Gaze
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Snow (Hey Oh) (this song would be a BITCH)

i'll be adding more soon..

Looks like we might get to preview Rock Band this Thursday:

*Rock Band will be unveiled this Thursday! EA is having their conference, and presumbly, it will be unveiled there. Sources tell us you will say "Wow", and that the PS3 version will have a lil something special that the other ones don't!

I haven't seen anything on the major sites about this, so we'll have to wait and see.

I'm guessing it will have some tie in with Home where you can play for a crowd.

I know this song is really old and way overused, but I'd still like to see Bat Country by Avenged Sevenfold. Other than that, I must say you guys have good taste.:D

I'd like to add Uriah Heep's "Easy Livin" and Metallica's "Enter Sandman" to the wishlist, and I'd like to second Myke's nomination of Run-DMC's "Rock Box". That song rules, even if most people know it as the basis of Chris Rock's "Champagne".

Pantera - A New Level
Ozzy - I Don't Know
RHCP - Give it Away (I think that would be fun on GH)
Any old Metallica
any Tool

and
Please MORE Primus (I never get tired of John the Fisherman) !!!

Like Sony has their shit together enough , for this to be possible , to be in even GH4 or Rock Band 2 .

My guess as to what will be unveiled is the online mode .
It'll be like this "The player's lay down the separate instrument tracks in the 'studio' and mix them [upload to each other] for a 2nd combined score .

Purely speculation on my part , but it felt good when I was typing it .

This may sound odd but

Billy Joel- Movin Out

Guns n Roses- Welcome to the Jungle(If not already done)
Pod- Boom, Youth of the Nation, Alive
Elvis- A little less conversation
The White Stripes- 7 nation army
Some Halo Music
Jet- Put Your Money Where Mouth is
Ok Go- Here it Goes Again
Three Days Grace- Animal I Have Become
My Chemical Romance- Helena

311 - T&P Combo
Bon Jovi - You Give Love a Bad Name
Silverstein - November
Van Halen - Hot for Teacher
Anything from Fear Before the March of Flames/Dillenger Escape Plan

I heard it this morning but I forgot.

It was something by the band Collective Soul and from the 90's i believe. Its a well known song and would be kick ass for GH

"Sleep Now in the Fire" Rage Against the Machine

To many, my music tastes are godawful... but here are some possibly acceptable ones

"Give It All" Rise Against
"Through the Fire and the Flames" Dragonforce
"Im Shipping Off To Boston" Dropkick Murphys

There are many more I am embarassed to admit... but the ability to imput your own tracks then make up everything would be great...time-consuming, but great!

Anything by Colonel Claypool's Bucket O' Bernie Brains. For those of you who don't know (hell, I just found them about a week ago) it's Les Claypool (John the Fisherman) and Buckethead (Jordan). Just imagine the co-op possibilities

The Darkness: I Believe in a Thing Called Love/Givin' Up
The Doors: Light My Fire
Fall of Troy: FCPREMIX
Horse the Band: Birdo (Wii Exclusive?)
Pavement: Summer Babe

I doubt it would be that hard to do.

Sony has crap in place where developers can add their own minigames and a mini concert hall doesn't sound to out there.

Then again, it's purely speculation and the first thing I thought of when I heard "Wow/PS3 will have something a little extra"

Here's some more ,

Aerosmith - Train Kept A Rollin' [classic tune]

B-52's - Private Idaho [sounds like it would be fun to play] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7t7cGwN7_0

Joe Satriani - Satch Boogie [I was always in awe of this song]

Judas Priest - Free Wheel Burnin [because 'You've Got Another Thing Comin' ' is poor represention for this band]

Scorpions- Rock You Like A Hurricane [perfect GH material]

ZZ Top. Anything.

The Nuge - "Cat Scratch Fever"

Metallica - "One" (album version, not the radio edit)

SRV. Anything.

Thin Lizzy - "Jailbreak"

AC/DC - "Dirty Deeds"

Boston - "Smokin'"

Soundgarden - "Rusty Cage"

T. Rex - "Get it On"

Dire Straits - "Sultans of Swing"

Golden Earring - "Radar Love"
