Best place to trade in a brand new PS2

I just got a brand new PS2 that I don't want that came with a DVD remote, extra controller, vertical stand and ATV offroad fury. These are all brand new and I got it for about $185 w/s&h.

Now who has the best place to trade these things in for credit going to a Xbox? I was thinking Wal-Mart but do EB or Gamestop work. I mean do they offer a no hassle and FULL credit for these items?

Thanks in advance!

It's unlikely you'll get anywhere without a receipt at either EB or GameStop. Wal-Mart is really your best bet if your store carries that bundle.

And this is in the wrong forum.

No way are you going to be able to return your PS2 to any other place than from where you bought it from. See the nice hole in the PS2 box that reveals a nice barcode? It reveals which store you bought it from when it is scanned.

Sorry didn't know which sounded like the best place to post.

Well this PS2 was bought off Ebay so thats why I can't return to a store and I don't want to just put back on Ebay since I have never sold anything off of there and don't want to begin with this.

And I asked about EB since they are pretty good at taking in used games and systems so why wouldn't they take a brand new system and some brand new accesories? Anyway I was leaning towards Wal-Mart since I have heard they will take things without a receipt but do they ask for a story or anything for why I'am bringing it to them?

EB or GameStop will not let you get full credit for a system that you did not buy from them.

Wal-Mart is your best bet, or if you want, you can go back to ebay.

Not going to start another riot, but I don't think you should pawn your problems off on Wal-Mart.

I know you don't want to re-list on Ebay but really, that's where you'll recoup the most $$.

Incidentally,

Why did you buy a new PS2 if you don't want it? I'm not trying to be rude, but the story sounds a little fishy, that's all...

Assuming you bought it on Ebay (which I have a hard time believing), perhaps you can ask the seller if you can get a refund on it

Well this what I bought. At the time I was just thinking that it's a rather good deal but what I was looking for was a Xbox. Yeah I am very screwed up when I am on Ebay. Well thanks for the help and I will try Wal-Mart and if they won't take it I'll just keep it since I don't have a PS2 (don't care for many of the games).

You wanted an Xbox, so you bought a PS2. Makes sense!

Anyway, like someone else said, best to put it back on ebay. Someone will pick it up for as much as you paid, maybe.

You could also break up the bundle and sell the items separately and probably pull a profit...

$182.50 for a PS2, Atv offroad, Prince of Persia, Remote, xtra controller, stand. You got a super good deal. But if you're going to trade, do it now and get store credit at Gamestop or EB games and wait for the price drop on the Xbox- coming soon!!

I thought it looked really good, too, but it's just a PoP demo. :(

Just a demo? Guess I should learn to read more carefully!
He just got an average deal then. Another fishy thing is the extra controller is different in the 2 pictures. 1st pic shows an Interact, 2d bigger pic shows a Sony OEM controller. Nice switch, I'll bet he got the off-brand with the package.

Also the system is used, not new as it says on their add.
