so the explanation is that the new zelda is not only utterly ugly, but also seems to be way too serious, and is a giant step backwads to OOT, which, along with Mario 64, made me give up on video games for a while.

Reggie is the bggest loser ever.he's like a real life Poochie.

And there seemed to be nothing about any Dragon Warrior games at E3

Well I guess we can agree on something after all; the new Zelda is too serious looking, I was looking foward to Wind Waker 2, instead Big N crumbles in to pressure and goes back to OOT like graphics.

considering that big N needs to make money, they want to cater to more people than just loyal nintendo fans, hence this move. you can't say there are more than 50% loyal nintendo fans in this world. with that said, it's not like they're stopping their creativity/willingness to go into a new direction just because they're doing an adult link. plus I don't see much negatives in doing this.

Well it's not like I'm being overly negative like DDF, it's just I prefered the typical LOZ look over the completly different OOT look.

myamoto (I'm pretty sure I misspelled that) stated around the time WW was unvieled that OOT wasn't supposed to look like that, and in fact he hated that style. So it surprises me that N, not known to give in to the fans, gives into the fans.

BTW that's not a knock against OOT, cause that game is still one of the best, regardless what DDF thinks.

More like onme of the worst.

I liked Wind Waker's graphics as well and would have liked a direct sequel as well. I'm certainly not complaining about how the new LOZ looks, though, I think it's gorgeous.

Look, I don't think Ocarina or Wind Waker sucked but wouldn't anyone else like to see a killer 2D update to Zelda on Nintendo's flagship console? I know the Minish Cap is coming out on GBA but I'd much rather play an all-new successor to Link to the Past made exclusively for GameCube with whatever fancy effects Nintendo could throw in. I know it's never going to happen, but I'd be much more excited about that than even the new Zelda shown at E3.

Also, I hate that Nintendo is creating a new 2D Mario game for the DS with ugly 3D Killer Instinct-type graphics. What is so bad about hand-drawn art?

sadly 2d's out of stlye, everyone wants 3d. won't belong before 2d is completly dead. :(
