Not sure if I should post this, but it really kind of ticked me off. So, I must vent.

I posted some items on eBay to sell this week. I have been monitoring them like a hawk so the-one-who-shall-not-be-named does not bid on them. So, just to double check. I did a search on bidders and sellers. Typed in his eBay name and lo and behold it showed up. He changed it (of course) and has the switched user id in last 30 days icon next to it. I scoped out some of the auctions he had already finished and received positive feedback from. What do my eyes see, but what appears to be one of my games. Now, of course he will deny it. In fact he will deny he ever got it from me, but just makes me wonder how much of that other stuff he sells is legit. I wonder if those other items he sells has the serial number missing on them and the buyer just did not notice. His auctions still say St. Louis, MO. What's up with that? I wonder if the shipped package had a return address on it?

Not sure if I should post the link to the auction (it has a bloody picture and everything!). In fact I bet if I posted the link he would pole the picture (he is not doing an eBay host). Guess I could just save the picture myself. Whoops He will now claim I stole it. I don't want to get in any kind of trouble and most certainly don't want him even contacting me again, but hot damn that just flipped the switch on my back burner when I saw my game (or he has more then one of the same game he just so happened to steal from me - yeah right).

Can you see the steam? OK, I am not raging mad. I am really over this. I swear! Just watching my back, you know.

Thats enough for now. Just goes to show how low somepeople will go. Sigh...

Do you guys even know who/what I am talking about, or do I have to spell it out?

Cheers!
Chris

Maybe it's just me, but spell please. You lost me on the third sentence.
Actually could I get a summary too... I've read it 3 times and don't understand :P

Maybe if you report it to Ebay they will suspend of kick him off. I'm sure that selling stolen merchandise is against Ebay rules. It's too bad the auction still isn't running since Ebay might have been able to cancel it.

edit - I think I know who you are talking about as well

He really should have had charges pressed against him to keep him from ripping off others. It's really a shame that he was just let off the hook to continue on his merry way without punishment, because it seems pretty obvious that he plans to keep on doing what he's been doing until someone finally nails him to the wall. Oh well, here's to hoping that he'll finally get the jailtime he deserves someday.

Darn! It slipped to #7 (was #4 last time I looked) on the most viewed and most active topics, but here is the link: http://cheapassgamer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12229

Here is the rundown. The seller stole some games from me. This was done through the Trading Forum here at CAG. The game in the auction is one of the ones he stole from me.

Dammit - if no one will spill it, then I will:

IT WAS A CAG USER NAMED CLOUDSPEKK. HE'S A THIEF AND A LIAR. AND NOW HE IS SELLING STOLEN GOODS AND FABRICATING THE DESCRIPTIONS OF THESE AUCTIONS.

I hope he dies and goes to hell and comes back to life just so he can die and go to hell again. And then once more.

Or hopes he comes back as a rapping cow w/ a diaper

why don't you press charges against him for selling stolen property? doing this across state lines make it a felony perhaps?

Well, as long as someone sold him some lawn furniture that he'd go into debt from...

Yea bebob. Weren't you supposed to press charges or did you decide not to bother? I remember you saying that it would be too much trouble. If you are still persuing legal action then just use those auctions as proof of his fraud. Eventually, redemption will come. But if you have opted not to get this guy, then I don't know what to say. The ball is in your hands and you have the game winning shot all but taken.

No, I did not press charges. Well, I did, but withdrew them after we made an agreement and I got most of my stuff back (plus a used Gamecube with scratched off serial #) minus some money. It was part of the negotiations. Which I stuck to. Also, pressing charges over a few games and money does not make much sense. I mean it is just a matter of working a few measly hours at work extra and I made up for it.

daphatty, what proof do I have that shows that is my game? I am only making an assumption. There is no serial number or anything to prove it. Unless I have undeniable evidence that is/was my game I can't do much. Plus, it was on an already finished item. Just it really kind of ticked me off that he goes and makes a profit off of my game he stole from me. I am over it. It was just a few games and some money. I just saw this auction and I was quite shocked.

I did learn alot from this incidence and will be much more careful in the future. And next time, thee who rips me off better ship their ass out of the frickin country, or I will have lawyers, postal inspectors, law agencies, and CheapAssThugs on your ass faster then rabbits make offspring (that's like lightning).

The game was Castlevania: Circle of the Moon. It is included in the auction, but not what the auction is for. He describes it as being free gift. Gee, I wonder why? Hmm...

Thank you. The OPs 'Mission: Impossible" vagueness was indecipherable for those of us who didn't bother to follow the trade forum.
