ATI Radeon 9600 PRO 256mb for auction because I'm stupid

Because I wisely didn't check inside my NEW COMPUTER before buying a new card I didn't realize the FREAKING THING HAS NO AGP SLOT and therefore I'm auctioning off the card I just bought.

I suppose I could try to return it but I'm not going to fault a company for my own freaking stupidity. On a related note, that jackhole at CC who sold me this thing lied to my face when I asked him "Does it have an open AGP slot?" and he said "of course". I hate him.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=5104448435

$79 opening bid, $126 BIN. If a CAGer buys I won't charge for shipping. Ends in 5 days.

Man I'm ticked off.

Well, it was a good deal when I bought it and it's been working great. I swore I'd never buy a branded comp again but it was such a good deal :( It just isn't for gaming and mostly that's fine, i don't game much on PC any way. I was just hoping to improve my UT2004 performance :(

Shoulda got an alienware. Most companies let you return the graphics card, you could have just said "It didn't fit.". I believe most are rather lenient about it.

i'd just go ahead and return it, its not like its ur fault. that guy at CC screwed u over so its only fair u get to return the product u bought because of false info. not to mention buying a comp without an agp slot, thas really gonna get u since its really hard to find pci graphics cards these days.

I wouldn't say it's hard to find a PCI video card. I see them all the time. It's just a PCI video card will deliver lower performance than the AGP equivalent.

Pavillion a347x

I'm not gonna return it, bought it online and not from CC so it's just annoying to return. I'd rather let someone benefit from my stupidity... Plus, I've already got a bidder

In a couple days I should have a Dlink Wireless Bridge on eBay too because it is also a POS. I hate computers so much. I'll just stick with my consoles.

In a year or two we may be saying "They still sell PCs with AGP slots?" if PCI Express really catches on.

Apparently so, imagine my surprise... It's a non-standard mobo in the system so it was probably a space issue. Of course, the layout of the board is terrible so that didn't help...

I stand by my original statement though, otherise its a fine computer...

Why did you listen to the employees at CC? That was your first problem.

It was a Thanksgiving day sale, I wanted the price and it was only good for like another hour :(

I have learned my lesson.

Ends today at 1 pm PST, at $115, still a bit less than pricewatch if you're interested.

What is wrong with you? You want people to be ripped off? Just build your own, it's so extremely easy, if not, buy a customizable pc from a small computer gaming company. It will perform better, and look better than any alienware computer.
