I just got microcenter circular and I see that both xbox core and xbox premium got a 100 dollars MIR, which effectively made Core system 199.99 after rebate and premium system 299.99 after rebate. Limit one per customer

Was the rebate back then onrebate?

Can this be done online without paying tax ? If not the tax would kind of kill the deal some what plus shipping ?

Can you let us know which stores does this apply to? Often Microcenter deals apply to only the advertised store.

I'd think it would have to be since I don't think Microsoft would do a MIR and if they were angling to sell it lower would probably have probably issued a small price drop and holiday bundle.

Actually I will but it won't be until Sunday since I'm off work tommarow and Micro Center's over that direction.

This is so unbelievably tempting, even though I'm about to plop a ton on a Wii... AAAAAAGHHHHH!

The ONLY reason I'm contemplating this is I'll eventually get one once there's a price drop (and MS keeps denying it will be any time soon) and even when they do, it won't be $100 off. More like $50.

I called the one in Tustin/Irvine in California. The guy said that they wouldn't have MIRs until they finished their game room. I don't know what the heck that guy was talking about. I think he had no clue.

I work there. It's a Microcenter rebate and as far as I know, it's only good in-store at the Columbus store. It may be going on at some of the other stores that are also opening gaming departments. IIRC, the deal lasts for 2 weeks just like the other 2 times

I just went. When I got there, an entire section had been moved and they were building said game room. It's more like an electronics department like you'd see at a department store, except it's devoted to console gaming. Of course, they didn't even look close to being done. I also didn't find out anything about the rebate. No one knew anything, and there were certainly no signs.

Well, at least I have a few more days to contemplate this. I'm honestly torn. I'm definitely, 100% buying a Wii, but this is just too awesome of a deal to pass by.
