How do you know if your repaired 360 has the new heat sink?

I'm assuming my repaired one doesn't since when I sent my dead one in I got another refurb in less than 2 weeks. Someone mentioned in the coffin thread that they could see the new heat sink through the grill on their 360. I wouldn't know how to spot it that it wasn't something there before or was a new one. So anyway to tell? Is the new heat sink the supposed fix for the 3rod? Thanks.

I don't think there is anyway to tell other than opening it up, which you don't want to do as you'll break the sticker and void the warranty.

The new heat sink is assumed to be a measure to fix the 3rod problem, since it should reduce heat which is what causes it.

Open it up and tells us what you see. :lol:
