A CAG had PMed me asking if I would order a subscription of Famitsu and ship it to him every week.

Obviously, I wasn't going to do that, but I came across this at Amazon. Works out to $7.50/issue.

That's a lot of money, but similar to what you might pay at a Japanese bookstore in the US, and it's delivered to your house.

That's NUTS.

Famitsu is 350 yen here in Japan, and, with the current exchange rate, that is roughly $3 an issue.

$3 x 52 issues does NOT equal $350.....

The last time I checked, you had to be IN JAPAN to buy it for that price. Foreign magazine subscriptions are always expensive.

Yeah, but how much do those issues weigh and how much would 52 of them cost to be shipped to the USA from Japan?

Thanks CheapD, I've always wonder where I can get these magazine. Not that I will get it at this price, but glad to know it's available within touch.

Why would anyone want magazines anymore? I can understand poop reading material but you have to have one hell of a toilet (like, if it gave you an ass massage) to spend this much on poop reading material.

If the magazine came with a Japanese Girl in a School Girl or French Maid outfit to personally translate and read the article, etc., 52 times a year; it would be worth $350. Maybe even $355!

I might be interested if I subscribed to any magazines. And if I could read japanese. And if I had $400 to spend on print information which I can find online. And if I wanted to cut down trees needlessly.

I never read magazines either, especially since all gaming magazines are a month late on their news a majority of the time, but Famitsu is where all the Japanese reviews come out of, and where a lot of US sites get news on games.

Depends on how fast the shipping would be if I were to actually order it.
