You basically complete these little survey things and they give a set amount of points for it, with these points you can purchase everything form WoW timecards, Wii Point Cards, Xbox Live Time Cards, Micrsoft Points, controllers, games, other accessories, etc.
I have earned four 1600 MS Point cards WITHOUT even using a credit card.

Cashcrate is much like Gaming Lagoon in that you have to complete surveys and small things like that. The way it differs is that you can get straight up cash in the form of a check once a month. (They are mailed all together) There are a bunch of offers that one can do with a credit card, but it is quite easy to make a lot of money without it. I have made over $268 to date just doing the free offers.

General advice for these programs:

Make sure you understand everything before you commit. There are age and country restrictions among others things. Also be sure you comprehend fully the offer you are actually doing.

Use a spam email account for the survey things like http://www.dodgit.com/. Make sure to always put your real information with the main company or you will not get your prizes!

Use something like http://www.privatephone.com/ for a free throwaway phone number. Some of these things WILL call.

If you do not have a credit card or do not want to use your main one online you may purchase giftaccounts (not the regular gift cards) at http://www.simon.com/giftcard/, which have their own numbers and are able to be used for online commerce.

I have had no trouble with all the ones I have done so far. I am still waiting for the first cashout time for CashCrate so I will tell everybody if it does indeed come. The two Xbox 360 things I have obviously not completed so...

I definitely think that this sub-forum needs some help.
