Nice find. I got three of these, and I can definitely reccomend them. Even if you don't care about Pokemon, they are very thick and long. Definitely easier to handle than stock styli; I like them better than the Hori extendables, too.

So you have to had pre-order the game:

Same. I probably won't get them, but no harm in trying. I placed an order for 1 of each. I wanted to get these for my wife, but EB screwed up my preorder, so I missed out on them.

Edit: As a side thought... Is it even LEGAL to sell these? Even if they do only sell them to people who preordered the game, they are still SELLING them, and combined with the $34 price of the games, brings the total to above MSRP. It's still cheaper than retail due to no tax, but they are still SELLING a preorder give away. At the VERY least I would think that would make Nintendo unhappy. Just a thought...

Technically they're only free after you have purchased the item. Best Buy charges $20, while TRU charges $10 for these as a pre-order item. Now these amounts are going towards the games, but if you don't pick up the games for some reason you're out a pretty penny. It's just another way of companies giving the consumer the shaft. I always thought schwag was given away to boost sales/advertisement, but the mighty dollar has taken over this realm as well.

Interesting. I have the Palkia one already, and it would be nice to get the Dialga one if only for collectible purposes. It would strike me as odd for them to charge for something that they won't honor if you don't get the game from them...

I sincerely hope this go through. I decided to I wanted this game too late to preorder, but I'd really like the styluses.

Good point. Selling them is DEFINITELY not something that was meant to be done with these. Saying you're "paying for them" with the presell deposit doesn't hold water, the true intention of the deposit is only to go towards the game. Whether we decide to buy the game or not is up to us.

On top of that, to say "$2 only if you've bought Pokemon" is downright wrong. if Amazon got these too late to list as a preorder bonus, they should either:

1: Send them out with your preorder game as a bonus.
2: Send them out separately (for free) to the first people who preordered them until their stock runs out.

I went ahead and ordered one of each right before they had the chance to edit it. It's worth a shot.

I figured I'd try and order one, all else it gets canceled and I don't get charged.

I'm going to agree with the other guy though, they shouldn't be being sold, atleast not until all preorder people got theirs. Pretty sure they are marked not for resale or something like that...

Well I've seen these stylus's out on the floor at Circuit City for like a month now....you could easily just pocket a few of them--seems like that is what people/children have done so far.

In for one each. I would like to keep one of each sealed.

Uh, you guys, you can get these for 1 cent (seriously) at Circuit City. I hadn't pre-ordered but when I bought Diamond and Pearl there they asked the kid in front of me (who also bought both) if he wanted "the pens". She rang 'em up and they came up in the system as 1 cent. I asked if I could have some too when I got up there and she did the same for me.

only if they got any left. the stores around here were cleaned out weeks ago for the preorders

I got prime though amazon and both orders look like they are shipping. should know by tomorrow and have them in hand tue

Well, I bought one last night and its status is "Shipping soon".. not really interested in the Pokemon game but if it's a decent stylus not bad.

I'm worried Amazon will decide to charge me for the game or something now... we'll see.
