Hey, my friend told me that an employee at EB said that they pushed Halo 2 back AGAIN to September. Is this true or was that EB employee losing his mind?

It can't be "pushed back" since there's never been an official release date.

"Well, I have lots of hearsay and conjecture, those are types of evidence"

I had no idea that they ever said a release date.

A Bungie has always stood by our policy of not giving out release dates for any of our titles. To put it simply, Halo 2 will be done when it's done. We're all as eager as you to get our hands on this amazing game but perfection takes time.

It was supposed to be coming out around April, so I call it being pushed back if it won't come out till September.

it was never supposed to come outon a certain date. many retailers guessed that spring would be the date but it was never official. and wasnt the announcement of halo 2 being released in fall about a month ago?

Well, alot of sources said it was coming out around April, but whatever, it seems yall are stuck on your idea that it didn't have a release date.

i'd give it a couple more months at least. i'd be very suprised if it took until sept. to release, unless the developers are taking their sweet time, and waiting for the holiday season to release it.

i got a chance to play halo 2 on xbox live a couple weeks (a friend had the beta) it seemed pretty damn polished, with very few lag and connection issues.

That's because it didn't. It was the retailers setting the date in order to rake in that pre-order dollar.

Mid-September would be a good bet I think. It will make it out before the next GTA though. It will need a good month window to beat that monster at the registers.

They had a Halo 2 beta? I thought I would've atleast heard of it, but I didn't hear anything.

Thats too bad. I was hoping to play online all summer long.

well, my friend is a microsoftie, so he's able to get in on these things pretty easily. it was a regular disc, too.. no need for the green dev box.

...if Halo 2 isn't "perfect" then, we all have a legitimate gripe.


So here's hoping they can create the first game ever that is 100% perfect.

IS THAT Mr. ROGERS?!?! WOAH, THAT'S AWESOME!... if not, forgive me. About the Halo2, I can see why they are taking their time, but a lot of people have been waiting patiently FOREVER (it seems)

yup, of course. quite a few. my friend only had the disc for a couple weeks. nothing that special about the beta i played, other than the live support, and a few new weapons. 2 people can play on live on the same box via splitscreen.. just like unreal championship.

Hey I think what everyone is trying to say is that all the retail sites somehow got april, although bungie never confirmed this. Now that they announced it wouldnt come out till next fiscal year (begins july) everybody thinks it was pushed back

I swear you people and your I played a halo 2 beta crap are so full of it. Bungie is so tight lipped about this game, and you think that just anyone is playing this. Come on, give me a break, I am getting so tired of seeing this on every board. Give me some screenshots, or video, or go away. Sorry if I seem harsh, just a little tired of it.

Yeah, really, I don't think you could've gotten a playable version so quick JUST because you work at Mircrosoft. Cuz that person could distribute it to the public and I'm sure Bungie doesn't want that.
