Serious Sam - Next Encounter

Has anyone played this game? I ask because I bought it and am loving it, but I'm at the last boss in the spaceship (that big flying guy) and I can't figure out how to damage him.

I've not played it personally and I normally don't condone the use of this site (specifically for the forums), but there is a boss faq here.

I have one of the Serious Sam games on Xbox and had a fair amount of fun with it. It starts off pretty slowly but at one point I looked out across the level at a hill and saw guys just pouring down it towards me. Probably the most manic, twitch-based FPS I've ever played.
