The 50% WILL NOT apply to preorders in store. Preorders are done at TRU by placing a $5 deposit down on a game and nothing more.

Also, keep in mind that if you preorder Madden you get a free $5 GC when you pick the game up. Technically that promotion is over, however, when you pick up the game the $5 GC will likely come up in the computer anyway. The $5 gift card must be used on a future purchase, not the current transaction.

This week TRU is also offering a 20% off any item coupon. This will work with this deal and it will likely take the discount off the Madden game itself.

Might be able to keep Madden sealed and wait a week or two and take it back for an exchange. Tell them you got it for a gift and dont want it or something.

So, can you pre-order this, get the $5 GC and get 50% off the game of your choice? Even if you lost a couple bucks flipping the game on eBay, it'd still be worth it.

i dont think this deal is true...if you go to toysrus.com and look at the ad the first page advertises madden at full price without a deal and hte second has that activision buy one get one half off deal they always have

All the big box ops fighting for that Madden dollar I guess.
That said, I think BS too cause that's a serious selling point for someone interested in Madden to not advertise it.

If there was another game I absolutely wanted RIGHT NOW, I may hop on it if legit. However, only games really interested in I can buy used at "half off" or less or sit on until it gets down to that price range. Only other titles really interested in buying early in the cycle won't seem to be out til Christmas shopping fires up.

Can anyone verify this offer? I also looked at the ad on Toysrus.com and only saw the activison games as buy one get half off the other. If this is a real deal I am all over it.

i immed a guy i know that is stock supervisor or something at a local tru(if you live in richmond, its the one near regency square), but this is a sweet deal if someone can confirm this

Yes, it's true. The game must be of equal or lesser value to get the 1/2 off. Other than that, I don't know anything else about it, but we should be getting some sort of coupon book this week too. They're supposed to give them to everybody and are valid next week IIRC.

The BRU 15% off coupon is being accepted at some TRUs as well. YMMV on this.

one of the best deals going, that is if you have a game in mind that you would want for half off. I'm planning on trying to find a place to pick up Madden for less than 60$, maybe for free from the lagoons once I get a few more points.

haha, lair is coming out in september...but in theory yea, you can do that

ok i just called my local tru. here is what the mgr of the r zone told me. you can get any system the only games that are excluded for this are

boogie for wii
nascar 08
ncaa football o8
or no other copy of madden

so bascally you can get madden and anyother game that is not excluded for about 80-90 bucks. must be equal or lesser value.

so there guys i checked on it and it is legit so madden and lair will be mine this week
