I stopped by Gamestop a little while ago and saw a Zelda Phantom Hourglass standee and well:


It says "New Color Coming October" but it has the Brain Age 2 picture...could this mean we might get a Link green DS Lite?

I have a feeling it's just the crimson/black as pictured, sold without the bundle. Which makes me sad, because I'd drop my Phat in a second if they had a green/black.

Probably they just realeased the Crimson/Black DS earlier than they had anticipated.

Oooh a green/black one would make me buy another DS..big time!!

Sadly, I do see this being the Crimson/Black. This may be the new bundled DS color lol

I got a random questionnaire from nintendo today about new DS design styles. It seemed like there was some connection w/ Target bc of the 6 designs 4 of them had target logos or some similar design. The other 2 had Mario and Toad on the outer shell. All were in some combination of white and red. Personally, except for the Mario one I wouldnt consider purchasing any of them.

btw....did anyone else get this questionnaire?

If they had a gold Zelda DS I'd trade in my white one to get it. They probably wouldn't let me let me switch my Wi-fi info from it though.

Yeah, I got it too. I just voted for the Mario and the Toad one.

But goddamn, I want a ing Silver DS Lite to be a newly announced color! >_<

I really want a green one - or a gold one.... or green and gold....

He's basically saying those are the colours he wants Nintendo to put out, given its history of putting out several colours for their systems. So I'm guessing he just Photoshopped those images. (would explain the wacko coloured reflections on the screens)

There's no green DSL coming, at least not anytime soon. The black/red combo is going to be sold separately beginning in October.

I'll probably break by Christmas though. :(

Silver does look nice. But after having the white DS Lite and then selling it to buy a pink one a few weeks ago, I've decided that the color of the system is pretty unimportant. Getting a new system comes with all sorts of little worries. Will I get any dead/stuck pixels? Will the speakers be okay? And then there's the new-system anality of worrying about little scratches or damages.

I actually tried to return my DS and just go back to my old one, but it was past the GameStop return policy. I've sold my White DS on eBay now, but I still miss the little sucker, cracked hinge and all.

But hey, that's me.

Just saw the stand at my local GS yesterday...I asked them if it meant a new color was in the works for the Zelda bundle and they said no since a crimson one just came out (brain age). So then I went back to the stand looked at the ds lite again and put up the brain age 2 ds lite package next to it - it turned out they aren't the same colors. The brain age 2 one was red on top, black on bottom and the phatom hourglass one was orange on top and black on bottom. I guess you have to check 'em closely, but yea they aren't the same.

Or perhaps the colors featured on the stand aren't exact. I know it sounds crazy, but it's possible.

Stop getting your hopes up guys. That's just the Crimson/Black DS Lite that is now going to be sold seperately. Nothing more, sadly.

And I was really looking forward to a Gold DS Lite to go with my Gold GBA SP.

Was the stand near a window? It might have just been a little sun-drenched, which caused the red to fade somewhat, therefore making it look orange.

And honestly, who associates orange and black with Zelda? Even if it is just because it's coming out in October (orange and black being for Halloween), that still seems kinda farfetched. Why release such a limited color for one occasion when there are still plenty of good colors that haven't found their way over here yet?
