First, the Asia version of PGR4 was listed as Region free then it was changed to being locked. Now the same happened to Orange-box. Are these actually free or not? I wonder if Microsoft contacted them, ala Sony.

As far as I know, EA has never published a region free Asian version 360 game.

Yeah, they could have quickly listed it as regoin-free then changed it. However, it doesnt explain the PGR4 case.
I got this reply from them:

We regret that we still have not tested the Asian xbox360 game Project Gotham Racing 4 for the region compatibility yet and we cannot confirm that it is region free at this moment.

you can always rely on EA to produce region-locked titles.

as for pgr, part 3 was region-locked, so i expect the same of part 4. stranger things have happened though. halo 1 was region-locked while 2 and 3 went region-free.

well, surprisingly, they've had the orange box listed as region-free for a couple of weeks now. i never wrote to ask since i got the pc version, but i assume that a mistake wouldn't last that long. drop them a line if you're worried though.
