PSP remote play, connection speed, ect???

I am sure someone has asked this, but I hope someone can help me out anyways.

I've already paid off the new Blue psp bundle at GS (going to trade in Madden for $20 when i get it). What I really am excited to do is use the remote play to watch/play games and movies while at my university via my ps3 hdd. But I fear that my home connection will not be fast enough for it to work the way I imagine it to work so perfectly.

Has anyone has either success or fail when trying to do this?

remote play is really useless... there are hardly any games that support it.

I mainly want to use it for videos, I have a lot of them on my ps3
