Woah. You're going to levy that as a criticism of Isis when you attended a jesu show!?!?!

I know where you're coming from, but to me jesu sounds so much more varied. Not so much on single albums (I'll admit, songs on a single album tend to blend together. It's a fault in all drone), but album to album they have a distinct sound that I can differentiate and appreciate. All the Isis I've heard I can put on shuffle and pretty much heard the same track endlessly.

But, of course I'm going to say that, I'm a stupidly massive jesu fanboy.

I only ask because my friend saw Tool last fall, too, and Isis opened. He missed them as well, haha.
Actually, I just remembered it was Trans Am. Apparently they're pretty good but I wouldn't know.

I wasn't a fan of 10,000 Days, so I wasn't expecting too much from the show; but it wasn't a CD tour so they actually played a lot of earlier songs. It was actually a really good show.

As far as ticket prices go MykeVermin, they weren't any more expensive than any other concert with assigned seating. Now if you're not a fan of the band, that's a seperate issue altogether. Personally, it's the Ticketmaster fees I don't appreciate.

I'm going to the Langerado festival in early March in south Florida with the Beastie Boys headlining Friday night and REM Saturday night. I especially excited about REM since they'll probably debut all of their upcoming album material at the show.
I'm very jealous of you being able to see REM. I have a great opportunity to see them when they come to Austin in March. The problem? They're headlining SXSW and I'd have to pay $500+ for an all music pass.

Anyway, the last concert I went to was actually a tribute concert. I went to the Jeff Buckley annual Tribute concert here in town on November 17. It was great.

I went to Nightmare before Chrsitmas in SD around December 9th.

Seether, Bad Religion, Angels & Airwaves, Against me! and The Transit War

Not a bad show, but I was rather annoyed that Seether only played a ing 30 minute (6 song) set.

Last one for me was HIM (His Infernal Majesty) back in October at someplace in downtown Baltimore, MD.

It was a rockin' show in a small place (I was about maybe 10 ft from the stage, near the front), the only down side was that they didn't do an encore...but thats cool, still good none-the-less.

Last show I went to was Circa Survive, Fear Before the March of Flames, Dear and the Headlights; in Charlotte, NC.

It was awesome. I wish I had time to go to more shows though.

Ive seen Tool twice. Once in 1998 and again last year at Bonnaroo. You havent heard Tool till youve seen them live. Theyre albums cant begin to show how amazing they truely are. To top it off Tom Morello came out and played a good minute and a half solo on La te ra lus.

Last Thursday @ Terminal 5 in NYC:

Editors
Hot Hot Heat
Louis XIV

I loves me some Editors but HHH actually gave a better performance.

Awww dude. You are a lucky man. I saw them two or three years ago in Philly on Saint Patty's day. It was awesome. Everyone was trashed on Guinness and dancing. Even if you were standing still on the floor you were jumping because the floor was bouncing/shaking so much from everyone else stomping and what not. Definitely one of, if not, the most charged up shows I've ever been to.
