I have the Wii version. I thought it was a waste of money when I paid $33 for it the week it came out. Can anyone vouch for the PS3 one being any better?

I am tempted, but I'm going to pass. I haven't heard great things about 2008 :(

they did one two weeks or so ago (can't remember the game though).

twice actually, one about a week ago and they did it late last week with a basketball game in the Lightning deals. It will probably become the norm.

Man, I guess I just really haven't been paying attention. It would be nice to see this become the norm.

Unless you're getting it for free, it is not worth it.

I buy every WWE game that comes out. This one was definitely not worth the money. You can't control who your wrestler is facing / attacking. The full entrances don't work if you're in season mode. Let's face it...season mode is a dog this year.

You might be having a rivarly with Rey Mysterio and then they show one of MANY stupid cutscenes where you're giving Rey Mysterio a high five backstage!!!! WTF!?!

They clearly lost the plot when they made this game this year! SKIP THIS DEAL! Don't waste your money.

For me, this wouldn't be a game I'd buy. Not my thing.

It is nice to see another multi-plat DOTD, like they did in the last couple of weeks with Spiderwick Chronicles. Hopefully, this is a sign of things to come with more of them.

I thought it was fun to play, but in terms of what they change from year to year, and the kinds of bang-your-head-against-the-wall stupidity that Litigator mentions above, it's just not a good franchise to want to support at all.

Bring me a WWE game with all legends (and accurate theme music, not the stock bullshit like they gave Ravishing Rick Rude in 2008), and none of the familiar trappings of the modern WWE and I'll pay $100 for it. Throw in th' ol' ECW and WCW arenas and rings, some of their top stars, and I'll buy that. 2008, for what it was, was a fun to play wrestling game; but I can't bring myself to want to help THQ think that they're doing a good job with this series anymore.

I don't really think this is much of an improvement over 2007, and considering how quick these games seem to drop I'll wait for it to hit the sub-$20 mark.
